Racism is hilarious! No, really!
I'm a fan of the anime and video game series of Disgaea. That's not important.
Anyway, when I searched on youtube to find videos of the genre, I found this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70rd-l5eSAs
It seems to be a broadway sort of show tune on the subject of race set to anime from the Disgaea anime - bizarre and, for me at least, side splitting. It fits more or less with the anime, but the song is just hilarious. I have no idea where the original song comes from, and I'd love to know.
Thought some of you who appreciate the same sort of humor I do might like it.

The Broadway show in question is Avenue Q. The same musical that brought us the (in)famous "The Internet is for Porn" song.
shit...I don't know you...but I smite you two times since I now have that song in my head.

Avenue Q has some great music.
You can download some of it as well as some video ciips here on the official Avenue Q website.
The story is a lot of fun and there's a lot of truth behind the laughs.

I love that "Internet is for porn" song! ::
The real tragedy of Avenue Q is that it gave dozens of World of Warcraft fetishists an excuse to make clips of WoW characters bouncing around in time to "The Internet is for Porn." Said clips tend to overwhelm any unsophisticated search for the original version. Also, it's WoW.
Details of my timeout are posted here.

As far as the show goes, yeah It's basically Sesame Street for Grown Ups

Just as I open this thread, the beginning of act 2 in Margaret Garner, the opera is playing in the background.
I will check out the anime. My daughter is a big fan; I think she shared some of this artist with me a while back. She might enjoy it, too. Thanks.
BTW, when Margaret Garner was tried after murdering her 2-year-old (to prevent enslavement), she was not tried for murder, but for theft. Truly a tragic story.
I can't actually stand splicing video clips to match existing audio tracks (re-dubbing can be fun though) because it feels.... painfully reachy and all disjointed, it just does not work for me on some fundamental level, I can’t explain it fully.
However, I can stand Avenue Q, so one may scroll down and enjoy that aspect.-----------------------
I'll get back to you when I think of something worthwhile to say.
Thanks for the info on Avenue Q, will certainly check them out.
And btw, I also do highly recommend the Disgaea series. I'm not a big fan of anime, but the story line and characters in this one were just too cool not to stick with me. Seriously, a netherworld where demons rule and angels are the "bad guys" and the "fourth wall" is constantly broken? Exploding penguins? Completely over the top, and the artwork and music is second to none.

I love it, but then again, I have odd tastes.
