"Tools and plant remains from a cave in Mozambique suggest that the ancestors of modern humans were grinding and processing wild grass grains at the start of the last ice age. Use of cereals was previously not thought to have developed until some 90,000 years later, when modern human behaviour began to emerge."

Wow. Tool use and

Wow. Tool use and environment modification seems to be far more basic that we thought. Not only are such behaviors showing up earlier amongst the human ancestral line,but we discovering real tool use outside the line, even among invertebrates.

Kind of makes us a little less "special".
