The Christian Gene
It looks like they've isolated the Christian gene. Hopefully it's only a matter of time before they rid us of this plague.

What Would Kharn Do?
Interesting flip of the script here, good find.
I think this might be a spoof. A piss take.
It's by CNNNN (Chaser NoN-stop News Network), same guys who did The Chaser's War on Everything TV series in which they drove a car in to the restricted area of the APEC meeting with badges that had "FAKE" written in big red letters and the occupant in the back seat with a bin-laden mask on, had someone in a snake suit handing out apples outside churches last easter etc etc. For an extra laugh, read the news ticker down the bottom. When CNNNN was on TV I suspect most people recorded it so they could watch it twice, the second time just reading the ticker.
Organised religion is the ultimate form of blasphemy.

"Anyone can repress a woman, but you need 'dictated' scriptures to feel you're really right in repressing her. In the same way, homophobes thrive everywhere. But you must feel you've got scripture on your side to come up with the tedious 'Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve' style arguments instead of just recognising that some people are different." - Douglas Murray

You should always be careful with spoof.
*Puts stuffy authority hat on*
A gene usually codes for a single protein or non-mRNA in most eukaryotic cells and organisms (bacteria sometimes have polycistronic mRNA, and eukaryota have alternative splicing)...anyway, the idea of a gene for a complex emotion, trait, or behaivor is, well, the polite term is "stupid". Don't get me wrong, a single gene can switch on a very impressive cascade of complex changes. A single gene switches on the in embryonic development development of the eye in Drosophila, but single genes are not sufficient to account for complex behaivours. Of course innate behaivours will have a genetic basis, but ultimately, it will depend on complex arrays and batteries of nucleotide sequences responsible for governing the development of the brain and its ontogeny, and hence associated characteristics displayed by the organism. There is no "God gene" or "love gene" or "happiness gene", there may be a certain emergence associated with large groups of genes which operate on brain ontogeny and embryology, but the aforementioned are absurd.

That said:
Hahahahaha!
"Physical reality” isn’t some arbitrary demarcation. It is defined in terms of what we can systematically investigate, directly or not, by means of our senses. It is preposterous to assert that the process of systematic scientific reasoning arbitrarily excludes “non-physical explanations” because the very notion of “non-physical explanation” is contradictory.
