I don't give a shit about his life. He was born into money and didn't contribute a damn thing to society. Instead, he devoted his life to controlling people. About 100,000 people who were probably better humans died the same day.
In this case the gun wasn't "handed out". The guy made his own gun. Dirty little secret, a gun is actually a very elementary piece of technology that virtually anyone can make at home. Especially if you only need it to work once and you don't need to be accurate at long distances. A rifle that can shoot over a mile and hit the target, that's a very intricate piece of equipment. A gun that can kill someone from a stones throw away? A couple hours with basic garage equipment. It is easier to make a gun than it is to make a sharp knife.
Yamagami practiced very good firearm safety. He hit his target, and only his target. This wasn't an accident that could be solved by "being safe", it was an intentional killing.
What does any American have to do with this? A Japanese politician was shot by a Japanese man with a Japanese made gun on Japanese soil. You know, it isn't all about us.

But like our orange turd he's fortunately having his own problems. The rise of using austerity and authoritarianism doesn't have to be a sudden spread or big, but it is an infection.
You do not watch the news as much as I do. THERE have been right wing gun lickers claiming if the Japanese had more guns that would not have happened. Ideas can and do spread, good ideas and bad and dangerous ideas. The world is not flat or compartmentalized, we live in an age of global media avalible at internet high speed.
He made his own gun? Yea and? Yes they could have had better security. But that does not mean all 7 billion humans on this planet need 100 billion firearms.
But you must know, even given my positon, that PM defended an Empire that did some very nasty things during that family's rule.

How about we vet people for having child? Maybe there weuld be fewer nut jobs if we didn't let nut jobs have baby that would inevitabley turn into a nut job. Since children may need mental health services, why do we let people that cant or won't provide this to a child have a child?
You say I don't need any weapons of war. But have we created a society where I don't have to fight for resources such a housing, water, food, etc...? We don't have enough of these things yet Dems open the borders so we can all fight over limited food, water and shelter. Do we have a sustainable welfare state? War is inevitable in such conditions. But your so called 'party of science' doesn't want to discuss population pressurses. Everything is about cheap labor and consumers so the rich get richer. And they need a disarmed tax slave society.
