I guess this is the place to post this...? 

Anyway, hello to all of you, theist and atheists alike!  I parted ways with God to become a deist a good ten years ago, and have been an opponent of all organized religion for five of those years.  Within the past month, mostly due to atheist sites like this one all across the internet, I have shed the last vestiges of faith I once had and identify myself as an atheist.  I am currently conducting research for a book examining the similarities between Christian fundamentalism in America and fascism in all its forms.  It will be published under a nom de guerre, natch.

It's good to meet you all, and hopefully I can prove myself to be a valuable member of this community in due time!
