36% of Brits have no idea where Jesus born
Obviously the correct answer is nowhere but this is one stat of ignorance I'm proud of
It also seems to be one a lot of Brits are proud of to, if you check the comments below

Isn't that roughly the same percentage of Brits who don't realize that there isn't a British Empire anymore?
Actually, the key piece of information here, which is good for the atheist side, is that according to the article it's 36% of people aged 18-24 who don't know where Jesus was born. I would suspect that most active Christians in that age group know where Jesus was born. So there's a good chance that many people in that 36% are agnostic/atheist.
Nobody I know was brainwashed into being an atheist.
Why Believe?
The British Empire is strong and still going in the err Falkland Islands.
Agnostic/atheist/christian etc really has a different meaning in the UK to the US. We still probably have a majority who believe 'there is something out there' but the people who are actively religious as in going to ceremonies is well under 2% (quite a few of those are Muslim which is why there are proportionally pretty loud)
What percentage of brits are non-christians. Why would a non-christian have any need what so ever for this "knowledge"? I say that in inverted commas because it's also debatable that the question in itself is a trick question, especially for those who take the mythicist position.
Also, imho thinktanks are nothing more than groups of people who are self centered and want to make themselves look big. They twist figures and facts to suit the needs of who ever is paying them to get said facts and figures. I don't trust any surveys or reports conceived by any think tank / circle jerk.
Organised religion is the ultimate form of blasphemy.

Shit, I would bet over half of christians don't know WHEN this 'Jesus' was supposedly born. Sure, many assume it is December but according to the details of THEIR story, there is no way it took place in winter. More likely if it happened it would have been late spring or early summer.
