adoption and safe families act
What exactly is the adoption and safe families act? Someone I met on Internet relay Chat says she will have her youngest kids put up for adoption even though she is still alive?
How is that possible?

Parents don't need to be dead in order for adoption to occur. If the state finds the parent permanently impaired, the child will go to a home for adoption. Also, if a parent declares that taking care of the child is no longerpossible, then the children may be adopted out.

If the government wants to help families, then it should help the parent who is permanently impaired, not resort to something that makes it clear the American government is capable of resorting to statism.
