Volunteer atheist organizations... I want to start one

Something I've always hoped to do and hope to do in the future is start a volunteer atheist organization. (ie environmental cleanup, feeding the homeless, clothing drive, etc)

I was stunned to find recently that on my way into work, in fact within 2 miles of my work the following sign was on the side of the road:

What a good sign! (double entendre intended)

Anyone involved in other atheist volunteer organizations? Know of any other atheist volunteer organizations?

You're in California and Sapient is in Philadelphia PA. If you're looking for a national atheist organization to support, please consider the Freedom From Religion Foundation: http://www.ffrf.org. FFRF files (and wins) church-state separation lawsuits, and is the parent organization of many atheist group chapters nationwide (including the Freethought Society of Greater Philadelphia, http://www.fsgp.org).
