I didn't know that Obama [the Christian] had a war on religion

What an idiot

Perry is such an idiot.

I hope this commercial is broadcast everywhere.

He does not need anyone to destroy his campaign. He's doing a fine job of that, all by himself.

“It is proof of a base and low mind for one to wish to think with the masses or majority, merely because the majority is the majority. Truth does not change because it is, or is not, believed by a majority of the people.”

God, you Americans...

What a nightmare world you live in. I can't wait to vote back in our atheist prime minister and her gay coalition partner. Our conservative christian politicians over here are no more than fuck-dolls for big business.

My plug in slows down my computer. If it is one where he talks about gays in the military. Saw that last night.

Sorry Perry, gays serve, the only people who shouldn't serve are assholes like you.

It's disgusting the way majority groups try to make themselves out to be persecuted because they aren't able to persecute minority groups as much as they'd like.

History repeats...

I was watching a documentary about the Birmingham Church Bombings in the 60's. Four little girls died, and it galvanized the Civil Rights movement and shamed a nation into doing what was right. But that's not the part that is pertinent here.
There was an interview with ex Gov. George Wallace, the man that blocked the students from entering the University and proclaimed "Segregation, now, segregation forever". The interview was with the frail old man he had become, after a failed assassination attempt had left him crippled. He sat there and muttered how his best friend was a colored fella... (it was his aid, a caregiver who looked none to pleased with the conversation)... and I wonder.

Perhaps 20 years hence, people like Perry and Bachman will be sitting around quivering with palsy and assuring us that their 'best friends' are gay...

I'd like to think so.

Bachman's husband, Marcus Bachman, is rumored to be gay.   I believe he is part of some Christian "reparative" ministry that tries to convert gays into heterosexuals.  I'm too lazy to provide a link but it can be found easily enough.

there is no "war on

there is no "war on religion."  when i have my house fumigated, i don't call it a "war on cockroaches."  i call it "pest control."  same concept applies here.

oh, and no matter what you call it--"war on religion," "pest control," "justifiable homicide of a dangerous ideology"--obama ain't doin' it.  unfortunately.

"I have never felt comfortable around people who talk about their feelings for Jesus, or any other deity for that matter, because they are usually none too bright. . . . Or maybe 'stupid' is a better way of saying it; but I have never seen much point in getting heavy with either stupid people or Jesus freaks, just as long as they don't bother me. In a world as weird and cruel as this one we have made for ourselves, I figure anybody who can find peace and personal happiness without ripping off somebody else deserves to be left alone. They will not inherit the earth, but then neither will I. . . . And I have learned to live, as it were, with the idea that I will never find peace and happiness, either. But as long as I know there's a pretty good chance I can get my hands on either one of them every once in a while, I do the best I can between high spots."

oh, and this just goes to

oh, and this just goes to show you: nothing inspires confidence like a shiny belt buckle, a perfectly pressed denim shirt, and a carhartt jacket.  aaahhh...

That video says kids can't

That video says kids can't pray in school........ uuuhh, kids can pray in school; it's just that the public school itself can't support a specific religion.

What a stupid analogy. The obvious and correct analogy would be Christians not being allowed to openly attend public schools, and clearly, they are. The majority of the system is Christian; how could they not be?

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, | As I foretold you, were all spirits, and | Are melted into air, into thin air; | And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, | The cloud-capped towers, the gorgeous palaces, | The solemn temples, the great globe itself, - Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve, | And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, | Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff | As dreams are made on, and our little life | Is rounded with a sleep. - Shakespeare

Look at the plank in your

Taxation is the price we pay for failing to build a civilized society. The higher the tax level, the greater the failure. A centrally planned totalitarian state represents a complete defeat for the civilized world, while a totally voluntary society represents its ultimate success. --Mark Skousen
