State run media in Britain, a reflection of American favortism of religion.
It seems the state run Media BBC is pulling the same "separate but equal" crap as when Americans say that atheists don't have to pray at city council meetings, but cant give an invocation themselves.
Maybe someone on the other side of the pond can correct me if I am wrong, but isn't this the same back of the bus attitude Christians have of all others here in America?
The story is that the BBC has rejected complaints that atheists are not included in a broadcast segment "Thought of the Day".
"We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus -- and nonbelievers."Obama

Didn't we recently have a British fundie on the board ("redsky" ?) who claimed the BBC was biased in favour of the non-religious ? Oh well...
Turns out they did let Richard Dawkins have a go once, only not in the same timeslot : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thought_for_the_Day
