I think it's best for me to leave
I think this a good course of action for me.
Quite frankly, a lot of posts here just infuriate me, I'm just obsessive about this site, trying to lash out at people, I just get so frustrated. I suppose the blame isn't entirely on you guys as I do get too emotional because of that frustration, but still.
So for my sanity, I will log out and change the password to something I won't remember and do the same with my email, so I won't come back.
So bye I guess, I will be reading/learning so don't worry about me.

If you're too emotional and you just realized it, I congratulate you sincerily. Regardless if you will leave, keep this in mind and don't forget that the uncontrolled emotionality caused you these problems. You are not your emotions, just take a control and a responsibility for them and your life will be better. (It's called emotional intelligence and people with it have a better life and jobs)
It has been said by someone, the greatest favor we can do to the people around is to spare them of our emotions. I believe it was meant to control the emotions, not to avoid the people.

Many people have posted in response to your posts. Some of those people are now gone. Some of those people were just as (or more) infuriated by your posts as you claim to have been in regards to theirs. We could probably attribute their leaving the site because of your posts to them. I would/will have to go back and read.
Leaving because of those 'infuriated' emotions doesn't seem to be very rational at all. One would think that a rational approach would be to seek an alternate opinion concerning whether or not you should be frustrated/infuriated by posts on these forums.

I always warn people to know the difference between the separate issue of them(personally) and the separate issue of the claims they make. That is a tough pill for many theists to swallow when they come here and some have a hard time sticking around.
BUT, as you said, we don't do this out of hate. We do it because we are trying to help humanity ween itself off of fictional security blankets that dont exist, much like a child eventually learns that Santa is not real.
It is a form of tough love. We merely see humanity clinging to a past purely for emotional reasons and not factual reasons. If humanity can survive without believing in Isis or Thor, it can and will survive without belief in Allah or Jesus. If humanity can survive without believing that the earth is flat, it can do fine without believing in ghost sperm or zombie bodies rising from the dead.

Theists warn us about hell all of the time because they are caring as well. The converse of your argument negates the idea of a possible altruistic motive for atheist activism. We're in it to win it.
Genuine human empathy would mean that every individual homo sapiens would care about one another without regard to their ideological viewpoints.
Cpt.Pineapple's assertion was that we as a species already performed in this manner.
Despite a mountain of evidence that it is the -ism that makes the -ist do what they do, the Cpt. maintained this stance. We see it every day in the newspaper or other media.
This ideology was one of maintaining false hope for those who need there to be a first cause in the intangible dreamland.
Thus the reason that eliminating the ideology(-ism) fixes the problems with the -ist and not the other way around. The good captain was never going to allow that to be the case.
