As if we needed more evidence that evolution is a fact around here, we're actually evolving RIGHT NOW:

One thing I found very interesting in the article that I didn't know is that prominent genes drag other genes along with them, sort of like if you tried to grab one pearl on a pearl necklace, adjacent ones would follow it. It may be a great argument for using extreme caution in cutting and splicing DNA sequences if we ever got around to trying to create some kind of super-being.
