Biocentrism

 Read an article Discover had online about it and thought it was somewhat interesting.

I know Discover is mostly flash advertising for science and it's not the first time I've come across this topic since it's somewhat similar to new-age trash but I think it would be worth analyzing. 

 

Dennett himself mentions that there's no work involved in it and it just stops when it gets interesting.

 

I'm just wondering if anyone could think of some situation where this stance could be falsified or reinforced. The philosophical nature of it seems perplexing since the universe would cease to exist if we ceased to exist, at least to the extent that encompasses all human understanding. That vs what seems like an independent reality for which all of science is based upon
