Zimmerman freed, found not guilty

digitalbeachbum's picture

Zimmerman is now freed, but the truth was not told. Zimmerman has lied about what really happened. He should have gotten 25 years for manslaughter.

Trayvon was guilty also for confronting Zimmerman. He should have walked away from him and left the area or gone back to his parent's apartment.

Zimmerman could have avoided this by listening to the dispatcher and let the police handle it.

This confrontation could have been avoided.

Anyone under 24 is a kid. He was a kid.

If George had such training then not only would he be in jail even in your archaic system, but he'd have a much worse sentence than he should have received. Training matters A LOT.

The law was specifically pointed out to the jury by the judge and therefore DID have a part in the trial. The one juror even said that without that law and the instruction to observe it that she'd have hung the jury.

You are simply wrong.

????

Any person under 24 is a kid? Wow...

"Stand Your Ground" had nothing to do with this trial. It was mentioned, but the law itself had no bearing on the case. If it didn't exist, George would have been set free too.

The juror was wrong.

Yes anyone under 24 is a kid. Science has shown that the brain doesn't tend to fully mature until then. Some, like yours, never matures. Others mature early. But the average is mid twenties.

""Stand Your Ground" had nothing to do with this trial. It was mentioned, "

Which means it had an impact on the trial, and that you are exemplifying cognitive dissonance.

If we are talking stages of a brain, 22 is the stage where it settles in to a long period of stability until the age of 65. Even then, at the age of 18, the brain has lost over 500 trillion connections and it starts to slow down any learning advantages.

But this only covers DNA. Plenty of children, young adults or adults can act and react to situations with out having to need X number of connections to make the correct decision. Environment plays a part in that, including role models and other people you associate.

The juror was wrong. You are wrong. I was correct and the decision of the jury was correct. Nuf said. He's free. He's not guilty. He won't be tried again for the same crime. He won't be in court over a wrongful death suit.

The brain doesn't finish

The brain doesn't finish maturing until about 24.

The juror was right, I am right; you are wrong. He should be in prison. Justice won't be served until one of the people looking for him finds him and ends him, since the justice department failed Martin and his family. Unless the feds do the right thing and try him again, as they can. And he may yet end up in court over a wrongful death suit.

Unarmed Man Charged With Vicarious Assault

The latest tragicomical shooting: Unarmed Man Charged With Vicarious Assault After NYPD Trying to Shoot Him Missed and Shot Two Women Instead   ...A grand jury has charged Glenn Broadnax, an unarmed, emotionally disturbed, possibly suicidal man who in September wandered into traffic in Times Square with felony assault - maximum sentence: 25 years - after NYPD officers opened fire on him in the mistaken belief he had a gun; with their usual stellar markmanship, they instead hit two women, one using a walker. Regardless, the nine-count indictment unsealed this week charged that Broadnax “recklessly engaged in conduct which created a grave risk of death.” An assistant D.A. concurred, arguing that “the defendant is the one that created the situation that injured innocent bystanders.” Really? On the conduct-creating-a-grave-risk front, many of us would take our chances with Broadnax: Statistically, the NYPD usually requires about 331 rounds to hit 54 targets, of which 14 will be innocent bystanders, 24 will be dogs, and 16 will be people they were actually aiming at. But still: Lookit what Broadnax made them do. Oh, yeah, and did we mention he's black?

So...
  • George Zimmerman shoots and kills an unarmed person and is found not guilty on account of self-defense.
  • Marissa Alexander fires a gun (allegedly in self-defense), neither kills nor injures anyone, and gets 20 years.
  • Cops shoot 2 innocent bystanders, and unarmed Glenn Broadnax is charged with [vicarious] felony assault.

At least the last one wasn't in Florida.

This is ridiculous. Why are these women getting away with aiding and abetting? Jumping in front of police bullets like that, it is an outrage.

If, if a white man puts his arm around me voluntarily, that's brotherhood. But if you - if you hold a gun on him and make him embrace me and pretend to be friendly or brotherly toward me, then that's not brotherhood, that's hypocrisy.- Malcolm X
