Presidential Debates: Making a change

digitalbeachbum's picture

In an effort to rid the Presidential Debates from the hands of the CPD (commission of presidential debates), I'm trying to get a petition started to turn the running of the debates back over to the League of Women Voters. The Democrats and the Republicans have a monopoly in place and control it by making unrealistic 15% support in polls for 3rd party candidates. When it would be better to have 500,000 signatures to make a debate. I would also prefer questions from the American people rather than a bunch of rich people deciding what to ask. Please sign it and share to others if possible.

How about turning it over to

How about turning it over to the League of Men voters? Sign petition to repeal 19th amendment?

Women alread have their all powerful allure, why not give men a very tiny bit of power?

The LWV is a left wing group and is obviously sexist. And when the did run the show, they did nothing to break up the 2 party system.

Taxation is the price we pay for failing to build a civilized society. The higher the tax level, the greater the failure. A centrally planned totalitarian state represents a complete defeat for the civilized world, while a totally voluntary society represents its ultimate success. --Mark Skousen

It wasn't there job to break up the two party system. It was their consideration to sponsor the debates and keep them fraudulant free.

The CPD is biased.

Are you implying the League of Women Voters is without bias?

I'm saying they ran a better Presidental Debate than the democrats and the republicans, who would rather keep the party of two alive because they can't have the power diluted with a 3rd or 4th party
