Just a thought

I was thinking last night and came up with this:

The basic story of christianity is that we were born more or less perfect, but free will allowed us to screw things up for the whole human race. We are now imperfect.

So Jesus came and lived a perfect life in human form. He died for our sins and made it so that we can be redeemed.

When born again christians go to heaven they will no longer sin. They will go back to god's original plan and perfect, sinless creation.

Here is my question: Why is it that when a person is born again he has to wait until death and the afterlife to be "perfect" and sinless again? Would it not make more sense if after you were born again you became sinless and pure as god intended you?

One could argue that being sinless on earth is impossible now that Adam and Eve screwed things up for us, but, didn't Jesus do just that?

Why is it that god would wait till the after life to restore a born again christian?

Yes, this is all kinda silly considering this sky god doesn't exist, but still.
