Finally, the Long Awaited, Comprehensive FAQ

Atheism isn't a lot like religion at all. Unless by "religion" you mean "not religion". --Ciarin

There being a chance it's

There being a chance it's unlikely there is a God of any kind is different from flat out saying no. It's funny though.

Quote:
Religion at BEST - is like a lift in your shoe. If you need it for a while, and it makes you walk straight and feel better - fine. But you don't need it forever, or you can become permanently disabled.

That's the aggravating

That's the aggravating thing about the theist reaction to this FAQ, actually.

If it was "The Comprehensive Tooth Fairy FAQ"

Does the Tooth Fairy Exist?  No.

Disclaimer: When and if any information comes to light that claims to verify the existence of the tooth fairy, the scientific community will be happy to examine it and reassess the current answer to this FAQ

...

Then nobody would feel it was necessary to say, "Yeah, but there is a chance, so you can't say NO."

Yes, we can say no.  It's the current answer because there's no evidence.  We can say no as easily as we can say there's no tooth fairy.

The reason that 100% certainty is ever even brought up is that theists think it creates a loophole for them, when in fact, it just shows that they don't know what atheism really is.

Ugh.
