My Mythbusters Submission

This is my submission to Mythbusters.  I love that show and I am an absolute geek for it.  It's 9th grade science at it's finest (and they blow up stuff).

I wonder if they'll use my show ideas?

I doubt if they will, but it

I doubt if they will, but it would be cool. The one chick that works with them is an atheist.

I'd love to see that show.

I'd love to see that show. But yes people will probably go, "WHA? NO JEBUS!!!"

I thought Adam and Jamie were both atheist as well. Just agnostic?

Yes, the best possible

Yes, the best possible episode idea of mythbusters. Unfortunately the christians would go apeshit about how science isn't reliable when it goes agaisnt what they beleive.

Genius .... I really LOL'ed

Genius .... I really LOL'ed when I read that (you know cos people put lol and don't really lol...)

Though on the blind man thing my nan said he wasn't really blind and just had cataracts and the sand in his eyes scratched them out....though I  think using that one in practice would be quite nasty! (Nan is getting a copy of "The God Delusion" for easter on audiobook...Tongue out)

Uber LOLLERS! They do seem

Uber LOLLERS!

They do seem to be open to testing religious myth out, so long as it is specific; i.e. the episode they did on the Ark.

I've always wanted them to do the Archmedes bathtub bit; simply for the valuable lessen.

Adam

I heard Adam interviewed on a podcast and he said next season he would really like to prove natural selection. He had some pretty good ideas on how to do this also. When he got on the subject he seemed to get frustrated and said that for too long in this country evolution has gotten a bad rap and people need to wake up that this is science fact not just some "idea".

You read my mind.

Man it's like you read my mind!

The Myth Busters prove god doesn't exist. Of course we all know that as soon as they announced the topic the all too familiar test pattern would occupy the screen with the message "please stand by we are experiencing technical dificulties". At the same time the men in black would be secreting the show's cast and crew off to Gitmo.

And if Kari is an Atheist, that is all it would take for me to be in love with her. Have you seen her? A woman that beautiful is the only thing that might make me consider, even for a second, that there is a creator. She is a work of art. Kari, if you're reading this,,, seriously, hit me up. No... seriously.

I was watching mythbusters

I was watching mythbusters last night and saw that Tory Belleci had a cross around his neck.  Of course I have heard of a few atheists out there who where crosses but it looks to me like there is at least one theist in the group.

It would amaze me that

To MattShizzle:

It would amaze me that anyone with significant science background could possibly hold mythology in high regard.

I am pleased that I can

To la_belle:

I am pleased that I can bring some levity to a serious forum

Well, if the man wasn't really blind, then that's one less miracle to test hehe

Mythbusters 2 hour 'Pirate Special'

I just watched the Mythbusters 2 hour 'Pirate Special'.

As usual it was excellent, but I really think it was a subtle acknowledgement of the 'Flying Spaghetti Monster'.

There was plenty of dressing up in pirate gear, and awesome and explosive science content thrown in as well.

As I don't know how Adam or Jamie feel about atheism (and probably never will, due to ratings), this is probably the closest we're going to get.

Just a little 'tipping the hat' in our direction.

Myth-Bustin' religiosity from the World.

When I had television, I

When I had television, I totally loved that show.  I had just purchased a pair of yellow flippers when they investigated whether or not sharks are attracted to the color yellow.  The data suggest they are.

Guess who's buying a new set of non-yellow flippers before she goes snorkeling in the ocean?

If that chick's an Atheist, that's just fantastic. If she likes Jazz, even better! However, she had me with the red hair lol
