Problems with an agnostic.
Offline Remember my blog "Respect or War"? Well, I revised it...added a few things from Rook(I gave him credit and even linked to his original forum post) and a couple of quotes...and then posted it onto my MySpace blog.
The person I mentioned in the first paragraph has viciously attacked me. She has stated that the RRS has become my "religion" and that I have "forgotten" that people have the right to believe whatever they want. Even though I said in this very blog she is attacking...that I respect that people have the right to believe whatever they want.
Haha.
She then refuses to listen to anything I have to say in response to that because I have been "spoon fed" by a "cult".

A little update on the situation.
It's pretty ugly at the moment, haha. It's resorted to immature attacks because I pissed off my friend. Her best friend posted a comment "CITIZEN KANE" BLOWS!!! Which happens to be my favorite movie and the comment about it was totally uncalled for.
Oh well.

I would, but that would play into their immature trap. They want me to say something like that so they can giggle.
David, not sure who you are here, experienced how she works when he replied to her comments. She turned into a smartass and made sarcastic remarks to his completely reasonable post.
This is more proof that not only theists are irrational.

What? How hypocritical can she be? She has accused you of falling under the spell of your new religious cult, the RRS. Then she says that one should be respectful of other people's religions. Where is her respect of the RRS? Blasphemer!

I'm david and thought that meghan's comments were rather banal in comparison to some I've heard. People like that are more concerned with there ego than with discussion and should simply be ignored or laughed at.

Anyway, I just posted this blog this morning so some of my theist friends have yet to weigh in on it yet. It will get very interesting when they read it and I will be sure to let everyone know when they do.
As a warning though, they will probably respond to my blog with their own so that they have the power to delete comments. All of mine were deleted last time.

Seriously though, this is what I expected. Not a single person has responded in a respectable way. No one has tried to debate a single point I made in that blog. All respnoses have been sarcastic personal attacks on me for being an atheist and a supporter of the RRS(with the exception of David's response to Meghan).
This will get worse though. Much worse. My friend Samuel is a pretty big Christian, though more open minded than most, and he left a sarcastic comment..something he has never done towards my atheism before. Which means when my less tolerant, close minded theist friends step in they will launch a full scale attack on me and will be pretty damn nasty about it.
I'm ready for it though. It's wonderful when Christians prove your points for you.

Anyone who uses caps lock that should be stoned to death, regardless of he/she is a theist or atheist.
Funny how xtian and xtian sympothizers think I have to respect their religion. I don't have to do no such thing. I knew an old guy in TN who told me the world was flat. He wasn't joking. He believed it was a government conspiracy telling people it was an orb. He was a horribly ignorant ass. (He felt the same way about the moon landing).
That's the way I think of religious sympothizers. They want to allow people to think something that is not proven is a truth but RRS is here to help. No one is forcing their hand on the mouse and making them click this link. The information is simply here. On the other hand, I WAS forced to go to church for 18 years and forced to bow my head at all meals, and forced to hear biased information about abortion, pre-marital sex, condoms, birthcontrol, death penalty, drugs, etc.
She's like those giggling girls in highschool that I never got along with because they always had fun at someone's expense. You wrote a thoughtful blog and she attempts to diminish it with "I'm sorry, Trey. It seems you've succumbed to a cult. Have fun."
He can not properly articulate why she thinks deconverting religionists is harmful. It does no harm. It does do good. People can choose the sites they visit as you have said. They are curious. RRS gets Christians thinking. This is a good thing. Getting people to think is the opposite of religious proselytizing. We can find what is good by being open minded and thinking. RRS does just that. Thinking is good and is not the same thing as being asked to believe something without thinking and evidences.
I have no patience for people who just complain and have nothing to offer in trying to make the world a better place.
What does this person do HIM/HER SELF in fighting bigotry and narrowmindedness? Is logic important? Science? The ecosystem? How do we eleviate suffering in the world? We are all not on the same page when it comes to these things and I think it is because of God belief and especially religion. God will fix it all. That is how many think. That or heaven is better than earth.
