HOWTO - restore lost forum topics from google cache, RRS needs your HELP!

Reconstructing the RRS forums, HOW-TO

First of all go to http://www.rationalresponders.com/forums

this is the index of the forums, now copy one of the names of the subforums (like "Rational Activism" for example)

open another window/tab, go to google, write >> RRS "Rational Activism" << and search for it.

You will find the first result is the link to the subforum.

Now there is a tiny link called "cache" in the description, click that.

You will now see a cached version of the site, meaning the Forum topic names will be the ones that got lost in the crash.

copy the name of one of them

open a new window, go to google, again write >> RRS "name of copied lost topic here" <<

google will find the link to the lost topic, again click "cache"

now you will see most likely the first page of the lost forum topic that was saved by google. above there is a text frame and there is a link called

"view cached text only"  click it

now the page is text only

copy the pages content and simply make a new topic in the respective forum (new tab/window), and mark it as reconstructed material

(by writing *reconstruction* into the topic for example)

now repeat those steps for every topic you can find.
