Don't even waste your time at that forum. With my very first post I pointed out that the bible is full of logical fallacies, contradictions, etc and then talked about their being no way to make sure you are in the correct religion in order to get to Heaven.
Response? Deleting my post and taking away my ability to post.
What a bunch of charlatans. I'm pretty proud of myself. Locked out after one post even though I did not blasphem god or use a curse word. High five!

Well I'm pwning the crap out of all of them at the moment. I decided that it would be kind of fun to be a voice of reason and then watch them sweat a little bit. They wouldn't admit it off the bat, but there's probably a chance I could change someone's mind hopefully. The less people who believe in their sky friend, the better.
I'll provide a transcript of what's going on in a bit, hopefully they don't merely delete what I say. According to them I'm blaspheming right now....

I've spent a couple of days over there. They have a forum called "Atheist Claims About God Discredited" I argued with logic, they made a token effort to respond with logic, failed and resorted to evangelising.
The theists over here have a much better grasp on how to take part in a debate.

I definitely have a problem with them using that name for the forum, but if I discredit them within the forum then it's makes it ironic. So I welcome the challenge.

I have to agree with you on this. As much as I find any claim of deity to be nothing but wishfull thinking, the ones who have the balls to stick it out here without assuming that we want to stick them in ovens, seem to have a better grasp on how to approach us.
Mind you those who do tough it out here still dont get a pass on their claims. I am just agreeing that some are better armed than others. Still wrong, but more seasoned.

Well I'm about ready to just say, FUCK THAT DUMBASS SITE. Those people are so fuckin delusional I feel like I'm talking to a pompous arrogant brick wall. I mean they are SO STUPID, it makes my head hurt. And to make things worse, those bitches are out to get me, ie. get me away and make it look like they were justified. There was a post I made were I said "What the efffff??" and I got a warning. Really?? REALLY?? How does that work? Hey guy, here's a warning for NOT cussing.
Only reason I'm stil going there is the Bible Challenge that SteveB (I'm sure ya'll know him) has challenged me to. If I can provide enough contradictions that he can't refute then he will leave his faith. I'm sure he'll find a way around it, but it's worth a shot. If he proves to be full of shit and goes back on his word, I'll just quit over there.

I signed up to that website because I had a question I wanted an answer from theist, to further understand their motives to follow religion... After 4 posts I was told to sign the following rules or I would be banned:
1. Administration reserves the right to edit, move, or remove posts and threads without warning for any reason, they do not need to disclose.
2. Administration can ban members for any amount of time (or indefinitely) without warning for any reason, they do not need to disclose.
3. Be courteous to one another and do not threaten, harass nor demean another member on this forum. This includes PM's.
4. Be respectful of the other members in this forum. If they choose to walk away from a debate or discussion, do not badger them into going back into the debate or discussion. Absolutely no PM or using the shout box as a source.
5. The shoutbox is not to be used for harrassment, grudges between members, or linking to other sites that do not coincide with our beliefs. Use of the shoutbox for these purposes will result in banning.
6. If you are going to post links, please make sure they do not contain any Pornographic related material on it . Make sure that it stays in-line with your discussion or the point you are trying to make. Do not post a link that is promoting another site that is contrary to the beliefs or values of this site. All links are subject for review, maybe removed, edited with a more "appropriate" link or the entire post removed.
7. Obscenities, threatening, or sexually explicit context found within a post or thread will not be tolerated.
8. Blasphemy will not be tolerated. Respect of the Bible and God, Christ, or the Holy Spirit will be demanded of any who post. Failure to comply, will result in banning, upon the Administrator's discetions.
9. Debate Forums will be monitored closely. Please treat others with different opinions or views, with the up most courteous and respectful manner that you would like to be shown as well. Absolutely no debating outside of the What Do You Think Section.
10. Under no circumstances can you cut and paste or take a picture of the site, with the intent of posting it on either: another website or forum. What's the point of this one? To prevent people from saving their posts before they've been edited? If someone takes a screenshot over there with their username edited out, how do they plan on enforcing it? "Dear Rational Response Squad, someone cut and pasted a picture of our site, please ban this person!"

Ha! For some reason my banning has not affected my ability to put shit on the shoutbox. So I'll probably just throw jabs at them until I'm banned on that as well. Those people can't be reasoned with whatsoever....so what's the point of even being serious with them?

Heh, I don't care if I get banned on their website... it is so easy to get around a ban. Anyways, my purpose on that website is to get an idea of what they think heaven is going to be like, or how hell would be like. So far all their answers have been something like: The bible says there will be roads built from gold and god's light will shine on us through eternity. I keep telling them that I don't care what the bible says, I want to know how they imagine it... but they keep going back to the bible :/
But it seems to be pointless... there is almost nobody posting on those forums. Its a shame cause I actually like the features of that forum... but features are useless without content

After all the rules about not posting anything contrary to the bible, their beliefs, etc etc etc. I don't understand this rule at all. How could any of them have differing opinions on anything?

Out of curiosity I went to the site to check out the forum. As someone mentioned before, you need to register to even look at the thing. I attempted, but the registration process itself made me shake my head. You have to choose an avatar, and it seems they only offer Christian avatars aside from the lone secular one, a rather ridiculous looking tiger. *Sigh* Maybe it's a way of picking out the free thinkers from the rest - once you see the tiger you know to skip the post because it'll have too much rationality for the theist mind to bear.
Speaking of G. Gordon Liddy, I just watched "The US vs John Lennon" the other night and he was in it. He talked about how in Washington during the Nixon era there were peace marches against Vietnam and thousands of kids walked the streets with candles. G Gorden went out, grabbed a kid's arm that was holding a candle, lit his cigar with it and proudly said, "There, you're finally good for something..."

I just recieved the emails from them announcing this. I'm not surprised. Religion only survives in ignorance and censorship keeps people ignorant. I wonder if they ever ask theselves why atheist forums rarely resort to censorship or banning those with different ideas. Doesn't that it itself show them the weakness of their position, that it can only be held in the absence of other ideas.

Yeah, the "Righteous Response Squad" is something else...I registered as a member at their forums about a month ago, and now it seems that they are falling apart. First of all, look at the strict rules they put up for their website a few weeks ago:
1. Administration reserves the right to edit, move, or remove posts and threads without warning for any reason, they do not need to disclose.
2. Administration can ban members for any amount of time (or indefinitely) without warning for any reason, they do not need to disclose.

Pretty strict if you ask me...especially #'s 1 and 2. Even my Christian brother said that he wouldn't register at that forum because he thought the rules about posting were so strict. And about a week ago, I received this e-mail from them:

I noticed some disagreement among them about the best way to handle us. Some of them seemed a bit disappointed that their much vaunted Bible challenge hadn't gone a bit better for them, and that their senior figures weren't vanquishing us with their arguments.
Susan: thanks for your kind words. I certainly felt that the debate had gone well. Well enough so they felt need the need to kick the chessboard over before the final checkmate, anyway.
I'm still quite annoyed about the sheer intellectual cowardice of that. Naive of me to expect anything else, I guess.

Thanks, triften. It seems as if all the atheists who went there to debate with them found this strange antipathy to the whole concept of critical analysis of their beliefs. My experience was that they took ages to respond, wouldn't get into debate without first referring to senior moderators and in general showed a great intellectual timidity.
There are I suspect tougher theists out there. Does anyone know of sites offering similar challenges? Now we've seen off the Little Leaguers, I'm feeling like a crack at the majors.

They lasted 37 seconds. The 37 seconds represents, their first stint on the news which was a Virgina NBC story (a follow up to our story.) We received twice the coverage because of them that day (their only good coverage ever), and this occurred before they even had a site up. By the time they put a site up and had copied eveything we do, they were done.
