Shit is fucked up

Don't want everyone to see this but shit is fucked up. I am like $2,000 in debt. And I only make like $600 every 2 weeks. So I ordered some Potassium cyanide. Think taking that'll be better than being that broke. And the woman I love hasn't been getting back anyway. What I ordered should be enough to easily die from.

Hey dude, take a step back for a second. $2000 is absolutely a debt you can get out from under, and the misery you're in about your lady friend will also pass with time. Do you have any close friends/family members that you can talk to? These types of things happen to almost everybody, and they suck, but you come out OK in the end. Ask anyone here.

Matt are you surious? If so

Matt are you surious? If so please think about it a second. Is 2000 dollars worth your life? Trust me dude i have wanted to just not live anymore too. I am almost going to be kicked out of college which if that happens i will be far more in debt then you are.  I do have a loving girlfriend so i do have that, but suriously think about it dude.

I know I don't know you that

I know I don't know you that well, but from what I do know you have a great, unique personality. You should not get too upset over women, there's more to life. My older brother shot himself in the face over a girl several years ago. It still makes me angry when I think about it. Then sad, then angry. Mostly angry. Please don't go out like that. What doesn't kill us, does make us stronger. Geez, don't make me come and pimp slap yo ass. Just kidding, but seriously. Frown

MattShizzle,   I don't

MattShizzle,

I don't know who you are, or what things made you think that taking your life is the best option. If you think you have good reasons to follow through with this, I am clearly not in the position to judge that.

But I want to ask you before you go through with ending your life, that you join us on the boards before hand so we can at least say goodbye, and too bad you don't live nearby, so we could share a last drink on your departure.

I hope you make your decisions well, and I hope that if you choose to go, you go with a smiling face.

Sincerely,

Dude, if you go, who's going to be around to poke theists beyond all hope on their heads and cry "wake up, dude!" ?

PS: Don't use potassium cyanide, it's not a very pleasant death.

PS2: Are you willing to end the only life you've got?

There's an unbroken rule

There's an unbroken rule governing the attitude of suicidals. They don't announce it; they just do it. A quiet and depressing end to their existence.

You're not going to kill yourself; you just needed to impact some people with such a consideration so they'd take your grief seriously, as it should be since you're obviously in pain. This is not in any way an attack; on the contrary I wish to shed a positive light on the circumstance. At least I think it's positive...

One person can only ever experience one's own misery and strife. This individual's misery and strife therefore means the WORLD, as his/her perception is all that exists, it's all one can ever know. What i'm hoping to establish here is that I am not in any way trying to compete with you. My intention is simply to put matters into a measurable contrast. With that said...

I'm in debt also. I make $700-$800 or so a fortnight and owe somewhere in the region of $6000 to various collectors both personal and corporate. I live with no significant other. I socialise rarely outside of my work commitments... MEH. It doesn't concern me. Why should your troubles concern you? (anymore than is necessary to incite the according action to deal with them)

It is often said that life is too short. The problem is not that life is too short. The problem is we take so long to start living it.
Live your life; live it well and to hell with what you owe to whom in the synthetic world. To hell with your status, your number of friends and where you live. None of that matters. This isn't encouragement for ignorance; it's encouragement for you to appreciate the only real thing in your life, which is your life. When you can do that, you can only laugh at everyone else chasing their tails to attain pointless wealth and possessions and to achieve pointless goals and status.

Enough of that rambling. Time for sleep =)

Live 'til you die.

Absolutes are almost always in error.  My husband's best friend told several people excluding my husband before he shot himself.  I just had to stick that in there.  Good post, though.

And when he shot himself,

And when he shot himself, if I may probe, did he broadcast it or do it in the privacy of his own home or some other location of solitude? (It's none of my business or of anyone else's, so I do not expect it to be answered). I did not say that a person who announces intention to kill his/herself will never act on it. I am speaking only of the INSTANCE when a person pleas for attention. It is a plea for help. By logic or any other mode of thought, why would one request help if one had decided to end one's life?

The actual act of depression-caused-suicide is so RARELY performed in view of an audience. It is an act of shame, which would be contradicted by the parading of it.

I guess you got a point there. He told a couple of close friends but they believed him and didn't make light of it or anything and when they tried to talk him out of it, he seemed responsive. Then one day an old "friend" came back in town and offered him some meth to shoot up with. He was doing fine until that guy came around. After succumbing to the temptation (he had been clean for a long while) he just couldn't stand himself and went quietly out to his brother's cabin in the woods and shot himself.

edit> I just wanted to add that I don't feel like there's anything wrong with letting people that are depressed know that you care about them as another human being.  Everybody gets down sometimes and it's nice to hear someone saying simple words of encouragement.
