Questions about God... theists answer these!

List of questions about God, religion and the supernatural have been compiled by IG over the years as well as some interesting ones by readers.

1. If Jesus fulfilled all the OT prophecies so well, why didn't the Jews recognize him as the messiah? - Francois Tremblay

2. If Gen 3:24 is true, why hasn't anyone found the Cherubims and the " flaming sword which turned every way"?

3. It's been proven that modern humans originated from Africa. Yet, the Adam and Eve story claims the first Humans lived in a garden in Eden, near 4 rivers. ( Most of which no one can find). One of these rivers mentioned is the Euphrates, which runs through Iraq, Syria and a portion of Turkey. What's the truth? Did man come out of Africa or near the Euphrates River? - The Infidel Guy

4. When the believer gets to Heaven, how can Heaven be utter bliss when people they love and care about are burning in Hell ? - The Infidel Guy - [Note: Some say God erases your memories of them, but if God erases your memory, you as Mr. Joe /Jane Smoe ceases to exist.]

5. How can a God have emotions, i.e. jealousy, anger, sadness, love, etc., if he is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent? Emotional states are reactionary for the most part. How can God react to us if he is all-knowing and has a divine plan? - IG [Note: Indeed, many religious texts display their gods this way . Listen to the An Emotional Godshow.]
6. Why would God create a place such as hell to torture sinners forever when he foreknew who would disappoint him? - IG [Note: Some say you have a choice, but this misses the point. If God hates sin so much, why create Adam and Eve when he knew they'd sin? The only conclusion I can come up with, if Yaweh exists, is that he wanted sin to enter the world.]

7. "God is all merciful," we hear quite often. Wouldn't it be more merciful of God to simply snap sinners out of existence rather than send them to hell? Or better yet, since he's all-knowing, not allow them to be born at all? - IG
ON GOD'S LOVE & HELL
1.) God's love is superlative.
2.) God's love of man exceeds man's love of self.
3.) Man's love of self prohibits torture.
4.) Considering God's greater love for us, Hell (eternal torture) is illogical.

8. Muslims are supposed to pray 5 times a day towards Mecca. Each prayer includes a variety of ritualism and posturing. If a muslim astronaut were to land on Mars. Prayer to Mecca would be ritualistically impossible due to the rotation of Earth and Mars. Are Muslims stuck here in Earth? IG [Note: Since this was first posted, a Muslim astronaut was faced with this very dilemma. The authoritative clergy informed him to pray as he normally would. I see this no where in the Koran. You see? Religions must change, or die out. It's interesting to note that, in the Koran, the moon is believed to be in the lowest Heaven, the level for those that barely made it to Heaven. Surah 71:15-16. One problem, no man can supposedly get to Heaven until they die. Yet, we've been to the moon. Our satellites beyond that.]

9. Why haven't we seen God reattach severed heads, restore someone who was burned alive or regrow amputated limbs? Surely these would be miracles difficult to deny. - Adam Majors and IG [Note: The typical answer is that man doesn't dictate God's actions. The conundrum here however is that, if God wants us to "know" him, then surely feats such as those mentioned above would be happening all over the world. Until they do, I'll remain an atheist.]

10. Why does God entrust the spreading of 'His' word to sinners? Why doesn't he do it himself? - IG [Note: Surely God would have known that not everyone would be convinced by the reality[sic] of his Bible. If God loves us so much, we are all going to Heaven. If God knew that I would be an atheist, and he doesn't like atheists, he shouldn't have allowed me to come into existence. But he did. Therefore, I must be serving the will of God, for I exist. Smiling]

11. In II Kings 2-23/24 we read about God sending 2 she-bears to attack children for calling the prophet Elisa bald, which he was, the bears killed 42 of the children. Was this a good thing to do? -- Brandon and IG[Note: I have heard some argue that the boys were a gang. So?! I didn't read anywhere in that passage where they laid a finger on the guy . Also, what kind of bears are these that can kill 42 kids? Super Bears? Surely the kids had to be running away.]

12. I have often heard from many believers that even Satan has a presence in the church, which is why even in church people can still have impure thoughts. If Satan can find his way in the church, how do Christians know that Satan didn't find his way into the Bible and twist the whole book? After all, men did vote on which books would make the Holy Bible. - The Infidel Guy

13. Why did God allow Lot and his daughters to escape from Sodom and Gomorra when he destroyed it only to later have Lot and his daughters engage in incestuous fornication. (Genesis 19:30-36) - Disillusioned [Note: To have intercourse with daddy dearest of course.]

14. Genesis 1:28-29 shows that man and all the animals were first created herbivorous. Most young-earth Christians (ones that believes the earth is less than 10,000 years old) say that the fall of man resulted in carnivorous animals ( hence death of animals). So, why did God punish the animal kingdom, making animals kill and devour each other because of man's mistake? Or, if you're an old-earth Christian (one that accepts that animals existed on earth for billions of years before man came on the scene) then how come fossils show carnivorous animals existed before man? - http://www.caseagainstfaith.com/contact.htm.

15. Many Christians believe that God is a thinking being, that he solves problems and makes a way for them when troubles come. Does God Think? If God is thinking, did he know his thoughts before he thought them? If so, again, where is his freewill and how is God thinking at all if everything seems to be one uncontrollable action/thoughts. - The Infidel Guy [Note: I'd say a God cannot think at all. To do so, would strip him of omniscience. Thinking is a temporal process.] ON GOD'S ATEMPORALITY
1.) God, an atemporal being, created the Universe.
2.) Creation is a temporal processes because X cannot cause Y to come into being unless X existed temporally prior to Y.
3.) If God existed prior to the creation of the Universe he is a temporal being.
4.) Since God is atemporal, God cannot be the creator the Universe.
[Note: I guess I should also note here that a timeless being would be without the proposition of past, and future. But to be omniscient, God must know the past and future. Hence a God that is atemporal and omniscient cannot logically exist. Smiling]

16. I have often heard that faith is all that is neccessary to believe in God and accept the Bible as true. If this is true aren't all supernatural beliefs true since they also require "faith"? - IG ON FAITH
1.) A prerequisite to believe in a Faith is faith.
2.) Having faith is all that is required to accept a Faith (belief) as true.
3.) All Faiths are true.
[Note: Of course all Faiths aren`t true, but this is the only logical conclusion that can be drawn from a person that states that, "Faith" is how one knows God.]

17. Why didn't God just kill Adam and Eve after the Fall and start from scratch? Actually, if God is all-knowing wouldn't he know that man would need to be killed eventually anyway, (the biblical flood)? Why create Adam and Eve at all? - and ON THE GARDEN OF EDEN
1.) God is omniscient (all-knowing).
2.) God knew that before he created man that they would eat of the tree of knowledge.
3.) God placed the tree of knowledge in the Garden anyway.
4.) God wanted sin to enter the world.
[Note: If God didn`t want sin to enter the world, why create Adam and Eve at all? He knew what would happen. Why place the forbidden trees in the Garden in the first place?]

18. If a spirit is non-physical but the human body is physical, how does a spirit stay in our bodies? - IG ON SPIRITS
1.) Spirits are not physical entities.
2.) Brains are physical entities.
3.) Past experiences are stored in our physical brains, we call that, Memory..
4.) Injury can damage portions of the physical brain that store memory and can alter or erase memories completely.
5.) If human spirits exist... after death, spirits can have no memory.
[Note: Some will say the spirit stores physical memories as well, but if true, the spirit would have to be physical at least to a degree. How could a non-physical spirit store, physical memories?]

19. Does God know his own future decisions? If God is all-knowing he actually shouldn't have any decisions to make at all. Nor can he choose anything over something else. For that would mean that he is neither omniscient nor omnipotent. In fact, he can't even think if this is the case. Since he can't DO anything, he might as well not exist. - IG ON GOD'S IMMUTABILITY - Unchangingness
1. If God exists, then he is immutable.
2. If God exists, then he is the creator of the universe.
3. An immutable being cannot at one time have an intention and then at a later time not have that intention.
4. For any being to create anything, prior to the creation he must have had the intention to create it, but at a later time, after the creation, no longer have the intention to create it.
5. Thus, it is impossible for an immutable being to have created anything (from 3 and 4).
6. Therefore, it is impossible for God to exist (from 1, 2, and 5) - Theodore M. Drange

20. If God is all-knowing, how could he be disappointed in His creation? -- [Note: Indeed, wouldn't God know that before the creation of our Universe what creatures would disappoint him? That being the case why create those creatures at all? Also, in knowing absolutely the behavior of humans before creation, God cannot be disappointed either... for this world is exactly as he has planned it to be. If it's not, why create us at all?]

21. God struck down the Tower of Babel angry at the intent of the people that built them, if this is the case, many of the great pyramids ( which are bigger than any ziggurat) around the world should be rubble also, yet many still stand today. Were not the Egyptians and many other ancient pyramid builders reaching toward God /The Heavens? - IG [Note: In actuality, many of the Pharaoh's believed that, via their pyramids, they would become God's themselves.]

22. In the watchmaker analogy, a watch is used to show us intelligent design and compares that to the Universe as evidence of design. We know watches are designed because we have past experience with watches, as well as with other man made objects. My question is: What Universe is the Intelligent Design proponent using to compare this Universe with to draw such an analogy? What God did he see create a Universe? - IG

23. Why did God flood the earth to remove evil? It didn't work! Evil came right back, God should have known that would happen! So why did He bother? - PhineasBg [Note: A good example of how quickly sin returned, was Noah getting drunk just after they discovered land.]

24. If the garden of Eden was a perfect paradise as xians claim, then why did Eve even want to eat the fruit? Wouldn't a perfect place provide everything a person would want or desire and thus she would want nothing? - keyser soze [Note: Why were the trees there in the first place? Of course they love to throw the serpent into the equation. But ummm..who let the serpent into the Garden?... and why would God create such a creature knowing he would cause man's fall? Hmm.. God must have wanted the fall to happen.]

25. Why would an all-powerful god become flesh in order to sacrifice himself to himself so that his creation might escape the wrath of himself. Couldn't god, in his infinite wisdom, come up with something a little more efficient? - ON THE BODY OF CHRIST
1.) God?s flesh was known as Jesus.
2.) Flesh cannot enter into Heaven (according to Paul)
3.) God is no longer Jesus.
4.) Jesus doesn?t exist.

(Note: Many at this point will state that the spirit lives on so therefore Jesus lives. This really depends on what you believe about Jesus. Is Jesus the son of God or God in flesh? If Jesus is merely the son there is no problem. However, if Jesus ?is? God himself, we do. You see, Jesus is called Jesus because of the attribute of Flesh. If Jesus = God (who is spirit) then the entity known as Jesus ceases to exist. The flesh/body of Jesus, no longer exists and the spirit of God is still the unchanging spirit of God. No Jesus at that point. The Flesh, called Jesus, is dead.)

26. After 9/11 a lot of people have been tossing around " god bless america". Why do they keep saying this? From the looks of it god hasn't blessed anything. If god had blessed america, the 9/11 event would've never happened. Theists seem to give the answer of "everything is part of gods big plan". If everything is part of gods big plan, why are we after Bin Laden? Wasn't he and other terrorists just carrying out gods desired plan? So it seems that Bin Laden/ terrorism isnt our enemy, but god . - [Note: Unfortunately many religious nuts believe they are fulfilling their God's plan by going to war.]

27. Christians say that God is NOT the author of confusion. Can you say, Tower of Babel? - The Screaming Monkeys

28. If Noah's flood supposedly covered the earth for a year, regardless of whether or not all the animals could fit on the ark, what the heck happened to all the plants? Can you imagine a cactus surviving under 4 miles of water for a year? I can't either! - Kyle Giblet [Note: With God all things are possible. Oh wait, except in Judges 1:19.]

29. The highest rainfall ever recorded in a 24 hour period was 47inches in the Reunion Islands in 1947 (during a severe tropical storm). To cover the whole earth to a depth of 5.6 miles, and cover the mountain tops (i.e. Mount Everest), it would need to rain at a rate of 372 (three hundred and seventy two) inches per hour, over the entire surface of the earth. Can rain fall at such an astronomical rate? Where did all the water come from?? Where did it all go to??? And would not the dynamics of the earth be so out of balance (tides etc.) that the earth would become so unstable that it would wobble off into outer space???? -

30. What do Muslim women get in Paradise? - IG [Note: Some Muslims I have interviewed about this say that Muslim women will get the same thing men get or equal value. Smiling Oh really? So Muslim women will get 72 virgin men? lol. If Muslim men get 72 virgins, where are all these virgin women coming from? What of their freewill? Is Allah creating these women to be slaves to the men in Paradise?]

31. In the "Last Days" Jesus is supposed to appear in the clouds. How are the Christians on the opposite end of the world going to see him? Are there going to be millions of Jesus'? What about people that work underground? What about people in deep space? -

32. The Bible says that God is a jealous God . How is this an example of a moral absolute of which man is supposed to follow? - IG ON GOD`S JEALOUSY
1.) "God is love." 1 John 4:8.
2.) "Love is not jealous." 1 Cor 13:4
3.) "I, the Lord thy God, am a jealous God." Exodus 20:5.
4.) The Christian god cannot logically exist.
(NOte: Basically love is NOT jealous, yet god is jealous, then God can`t be love. But if god IS love he cannot be jealous. Be he is.)

33. A true Muslim man is not supposed to do anything that the prophet Muhammad didn't do. If one remembers there was a big debate over whether or not Muslims should eat Mangos. If this is true, why in the Hell were these Islamic Fundamentalists flying airplanes? - IG

34. If the earth was covered by a complete global flood, every living creature killed except those surviving on the ark, why are there many completely unique animal species in Australia that are found no where else indigenously on the earth? -

35. If god is omniscient and " god is love," why would he allow a child to be conceived, knowing that that child would one day reject him and spend eternity burning in a lake of fire?- TiredTurkeyProd

36. Revelations is supposed to take place on Earth. What if we colonize the moon or Mars or inhabit a self-sustaining space station? Do we escape "judgement"? -- Ray Sommers [Note: No we don't Ray... and of course we all know that if there is any intelligent life out there besides us, they are all going to Hell too. Eye-wink]

37. Isaiah 40:28 says, "...the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is he weary?" If this is true, why did God rest on the seventh day?- IG

38. Everytime I go to a funeral the preacher and guests always say that " God " has called that person to Heaven or they say, " God said it was time to come home", or some such variation. If God is calling these people "home", why are we putting the murderers of these victims in prison? How can we punish a man or woman for doing God's will? - IG

39. Does God have a gender? In most churches, God is predominately referred to as a "he"? - IG [Note: The Bible says God is male, but what does this mean? Does God have a penis? Does he have hormones that dictate his gender? Smiling]

40. Why can't we wait until we get to Heaven to worship God ? Why would it be too late? - IG

41. What is the purpose of prayer? What can a finite being on Earth possibly tell an omnipotent, omniscient deity that he doesn't know already? - IG ON PRAYER
1.) Humans can?t change God?s mind for he has a divine plan and is unchangeable.
2.) Prayer can't change God's mind.
3.) Prayer doesn't change anything.
(Prayer may make you feel better emotionally, but it doesn`t change God`s mind.)

42. Some say Jesus was the all-knowing God. Jesus would have known then that when he died he'd be in heaven in less than 3 days to rule. If Jesus is alive and ruling today, what did he sacrifice? -- Cyndy Hammond

43. God knows that men are sinners, untrustworthy and evil, why does God leave it up to fallible man (clergy..etc) to teach others about his word? Why would he put our eternal souls at risk if he loves us so much? - The Infidel Guy and Danno778

44. Did Adam have nipples? If so, how did he acquire them? In fact, why would God give "later man" nipples at all? They serve no purpose other than lactation. Some say pleasure. Where is that in Genesis exactly? All mammals have nipples as well, are theirs pleasureful for them too? Many men don't find their nipples pleasurable at all. - IG

45. How did Adam and Eve know it was wrong to disobey God if they hadn't eaten of the tree of knowledge (of good and evil) yet? You can't blame them if they didn't know. - IG

46. If God has such a tremendous problem with uncircumcised penises, why did he make man with foreskin in the first place? - IG [Note: Some say, "So God can recognize his chosen people." Recognize? Is God so stupid that he has to physically look at men's penises? If not God, do other men need to? lol.]

47. Did Noah have fish onboard? Salt or Fresh? Since fresh water fish would die in salt, and salt water fish would die in fresh, only one type of fish would survive. Yet....?" - Frank Monaco

48. Why does the omnipotent, omnipresent God need help from man or angels to spread his word or do acts? - IG [Note: Some say God doesn't need help. But apparently he does.] - IG

49. How did Jesus ascend to Heaven in the Flesh when Paul says that flesh cannot inherit the kingdom of Heaven? (1 Cor.15:50) - IG [Note: Some say, well Paul said that and not Jesus. Yet they quote Paul when it suits there purposes.]

50. If God wants us to live right and choose "the good," why did he create evil? (Isaiah 45:6,7) Not to mention he already knows which people are not going to choose "the good" so why create those people in the first place? It seems that many people are born to go to Hell. - IG ON HELL
1.) God is all-knowing.
2.) Before I was born God knew I wouldn?t believe in him.
3.) I was born to go to Hell.
(Sure you may say I have a choice, but I think I`ve proven already that I really don`t. I`m simply fulfilling the will of God by being an atheist aren`t I? If I`m not, I shouldn`t exist: For God would have known that before I was created that I wouldn`t believe in him.)

51. I hear Christians all the time speaking of a spiritual war between Heaven and Hell, if this is true does God have limitations of power? Man only conducts wars because of our limitations of power and foresight. God has both all-power and all-knowledge, no reason for war of any kind. - IG

52. The Bible is full of phrases beginning with, "and the lord saw". Didn't he know before hand? - IG

53. How can a psychologist condone belief in something not proven to exist, when people are put into mental institutions on a daily basis for the same thing? i.e. aliens, fairies, imaginary people (Multiple Personality Disorders..)? - Dan Denton [Note: I'm sure that some of the pious believe that they are improperly placed there as well Dan. Smiling]

54. If Christians say they know God exists and that he will work miracles, what do they need faith for? Faith is not knowing. - IG

55. Brain, or shall I say, body transplants, will eventually be possible, where would the soul be then? Where is the soul? - IG

56. If God really wants us to know him, why doesn't he place the knowledge of him in our minds at birth? The same way many theists believe that God implants our sense of right and wrong in us a right birth. - IG

57. If God was Jesus' father (not Joseph), then why is Jesus' family tree traced through Joseph? -- Cyndy Hammond

58. What image of God was man made from? Couldn't have been a moral one or physical one. - IG [Note: One would suspect that an image of God would be perfect and cannot sin. Oops.]

59. Why can't God appear before everyone at the same time? Everyone in the world would then "know" he exists and not have solely "believe". And please, don't say he already tried that. Surely a God knows exactly what to do to convince a measly human of his existence. - IG

60. According to the New Testament Matthew 5:17 says "Do not suppose that I have come to abolish the Law and the prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to complete. I tell you this: so long as heaven and earth endure, not a letter, not a stroke, will disappear from the Law until all that must happen has Happened." So since Jesus has not returned the "Law" is still in effect, so why aren't we still burning witches, stoning adulterers and disobedient children, killing homosexuals, ostracizing people that work on the Sabbath (nurses, doctors etc.), flinging blood onto the horns of the alter, pulling off the heads of small birds, and don't forget human sacrifice to God (Leviticus 27 P.28 )? -- Sheila L. Chambers

61. If there is freewill in Heaven yet everyone has chosen good and is happy, isn't that proof that God could have made us with freewill, choosing good ( God ) and still being happy on Earth? - Dennis Hendrix [Note: In other words, evil didn't have to exist after all. Hey wait, even in Heaven apparently, evil can exist. At least for a short while. Satan became evil and was in heaven. Apparently he even had enough time to form an Army against God. Wow. Maybe Heaven won't be as peaceful as many believe.]

62. Why does God have a plan? Man is limited in power so we make plans because we are not all-knowing nor all-powerful. If God has a plan, isn't he reduced to a mere finite being? - IG

63. How could the all-merciful/loving God watch billions of his children burn over and over again for eternity? - IG [Note: Of course this is geared to those that believe in a fiery hell. I am well aware that not all Christians believe in a fiery Hell.]

64. Before reading and writing were invented (5000BC), on what basis did God use to judge the people who died before the Hebrew and Greek text (BIBLE) were written? -- [Note: They are all roasting in Hell. Smiling]

65. Many Christians tell me that I will "burn in hell". If I have a soul, how can a soul burn? Aren't souls non-physical entities? - IG [Note: Some Christians groups believe that you will be given new bodies after judgement. However, if true, what's the significance of a spirit in the first place?]

66. How can one hold to the barbaric belief that something has to DIE in order to appease a god for a bad deed? -- Nickolaus Wing [Note: Because an old book says so Nick.]

67. Why does SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) occur? Why would God allow a baby to live for such a short period of time? Why not just let them not be born in the first place? -- Terry Clark [Note: This actually happened to a friend of mine. Not even God himself could console her.]

68. If Jesus was nailed and died on Friday evening, and walked out of the tomb on Sunday morning, where's the 3rd NIGHT he predicted? Per Matthew 12:40: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. -

69. Many Christians claim that hell is merely existence outside of God ?s presence (C.S. Lewis among others). If this is the case, then Jesus could not have descended into hell (being God Himself). As a result, are you sure your sins are forgiven? - Byron Bultsma

70. Ten to twenty percent of all women who discover they are pregnant suffer a miscarriage. Also, it is estimated that anywhere from 14 to 50 percent of all pregnancies end in miscarriage. Seeing this is all part of God 's plan, does this make God the world's number one abortion provider? - Jim

71. What if, when you get to Heaven, you saw God causing pain and suffering out of anger or for the purpose of entertaining himself. What if he required people in heaven to praise and worship him non-stop even to the point of causing his worshipers discomfort, pain and boredom. What if, when he was bored, angry, or jealous, he would create natural disasters to make himself feel better. Would you still follow him? - Fernando [Note: Of course they would Fernando, many people followed Hitler out of fear as well.]

72. In Leviticus, the bible condemns homosexuality as an "abomination", giving some Christians a reason to hate, harass, torture and kill gays and even picket their funderals with " God hates fags" signs. In the same book of the bible the eating of shellfish is equally an "abomination". Are these Christians planning to go after the patrons of Red Lobster next? - [Note: hee-hee, that's all I can say. Jewish Law states that eating Fish without scales is an abomination and thus the Shark is one among the list. However, sharks do have scales, Placoid scales, one of the many reasons why a shark is called a Fish .]

73. Christians will tell you that if a baby dies it goes to heaven. Why then are they so against abortion? All the child is being deprived of is the opportunity to go to hell. Either that or god expects unborn fetuses to accept Jesus. -

74. If one could prove to you incontrovertibly that Jesus and God were all human fabrications would still believe? And why? - LOGICnREASON [Note: If you say yes. Then you are not concerned with the truth, you simply WANT to believe; and if you WANT to believe, indeed, there is nothing anyone can tell you..]

75. It is often said that God allows evil because one could not meaningfully appreciate good without experiencing its opposite. Why is it necessary to experience the opposite of something in order to appreciate it? Must I experience death in order to meaningfully appreciate life? -excidius

76. Bible literalists want you to believe that God's Word in the Bible is meant to be taken literally. If this is the case, why was Jesus fond of explaining things in parable and metaphor? Was Jesus literally discussing the biology of mustard seeds, or was the mustard seed parable meant to be interpreted figuratively as faith? -excidius

77. Liberal Christians say some parts of the Bible are literally true, but much else is to be interpreted figuratively as allegory. How do you know which is which? What distinguishing criteria are used? How can you be certain "God" is a literal and not a figurative concept? -excidius

78. Consciousness is the result of a physical brain, how could God being metaphysical be said to be conscious or sentient without having a brain? - Mindless

79. Considering how Leviticus is considered old law, and that Christians do not obey it anymore, why do they always use it to defend homosexuality being an "abomination"? -Bohorquez

80. If God is omnipotent and he has a plan ... then why did he not create the universe as it will be one second after the plan has succeeded? Who or what prevented him from doing that? - Timothy Campbell (http://www.tc123.com)

81. The large majority of people who have ever existed could not have learned of the Bible or Jesus Christ. And many people afterwards have found other religions or no religion at all to be more convincing, sometimes while being very virtuous. Do all these people really deserve eternal torment because of that? -- lpetrich

82. The above arguments also apply among different sects of Christianity, many of which state that most others are not True Christianity. -- lpetrich

83. Is it reasonable for the Creator and Ruler of such a vast Universe to be preoccupied with the sexuality of a species living on a tiny little planet? -- lpetrich

84. If the Christian god was all loving and all knowing why did he let religious figures such as Mohammed or Gautama Budda be born, knowing that they would mislead people from the 'true' faith and trick the majority of the world's population into burning forever in hell (in fact, if Islam didn't start, most of the middle east would probably be Christian). It would simple to use the Holy Spirit to guide them to Jesus and spread the 'true' faith. If the Holy Spirit exits, it certainly isn't doing it's job!

85. If one is obliged to follow all the teachings of the bible then why is engaging in homosexuality or adultery any worse than "suffering a witch to live", "muzzling the ox that treadeth the corn", "reaping the corners of thy field", "marring the corners of they beard", "plowing with an oxen and an ass", "hating thy brother in thy heart" or "eating frogs, shellfish and eels" ?

86. Exactly how did the alleged worldwide flood kill off all the world's sea creatures? How does one go about drowning a fish? -- Steever

87. Why did this alleged god create humans as an animal form of life that gets sick and dies and experiences pain and has a limited mind when 'it' could have created humans as a form of pure energy or of some indestructible material or whatever, and was totally ?sinless? and had ?pure? thought? If a god was omnipotent 'it' could have easily have done this. --AI

88. If a god is omnipotent how did 'it' fail to foresee that Satan would turn against 'it'? --AI

89. What is a god supposedly made of? --AI

This list was compiled by the Infidel Guy with submissions from many members of the atheist community.

DO you see, Sapient is a man searching for Truth

Wow that is a major list of questions, lets just try the first Three!

1. The Jew did not except Jesus {{Yet you notice His Apostles as 1000's around Judea were the true Jews and excepted Him immediately}} The jews who did not except Him were the false jew, who had taken control of His Word, Ezra 9:1-2 {{ You cannot mingle Gods Royal seed with canaan of any other}} Revelation 2:9-3:9 - those who say they are jews and are not but do lie!  Speaking of the children strange children saith the Lord that His children had brought forth with the daughters of heathens/gentiles!  So the ones who were in control of Gods city and Word when Jesus had to come and take back His Fathers Word/Bible were those not pure of Adams seed!  What did our Lord say, I AM COME ONLY FOR THE LOST HOUSE OF ADAM/ISRAEL!  God said many times only those pure of Judah/Israel/Adam would be excepted and be His Children..So the false jew could not hear the Lords truth due to be born of satan John 8th chapter 36-44 ....

2. AS posted in Trollville on the sounding letters the Link too see the film of Gods HolySpirit/Cherubim over the Dome on the Rock!  The Amazing thing about the most powerful Life form in the Heavens/Universe is it can change its shape and form, when appearing before Adam and Eve was/is a mighty Angel with a Sword, when appearing before John the seer/revealer He His spirit took on the shape and form of a powerful man with a two edged sword for a Tongue!  When going out before the children of Israel when God broke them free of Eygpt, They were as pillars of Fire by Night and Glowing Clouds during the day...and as you seen Him over the Temple mount a Glowing Cloud!!!

3. Global positioning / Gps, has now found the four Rivers of Gods Garden, only not in Africa in modern day Iraq PISON, GIHON, HIDDEKEL, EUPHRATES!  Two of the Rivers were more like tributares, and are now under water, due to more water in our Oceans

Great Questions???  Sapient Has some seriousness about Him, a man on a quest, yet , when the answer is given, and when the truth is exposed, it must be excepted!!!

I am sent by God, the Scientific soul His Son JESUS to awake those on the highways and byways who have been lost due to the many infected souls controlling Gods Word here on earth! It has begun..

Is it really necessary that you understand these things?

I believe those are links, pictures, alerts, etc. that you can choose to display or not. "Cached" are the ones that are currently hidden, as they have no use or some other reason.

You don't understand what subscribing to a thread or sub-forum means? It emails you and sends you alerts when someone starts a thread or posts.

Oops. That's just a mistake, I think.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, | As I foretold you, were all spirits, and | Are melted into air, into thin air; | And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, | The cloud-capped towers, the gorgeous palaces, | The solemn temples, the great globe itself, - Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve, | And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, | Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff | As dreams are made on, and our little life | Is rounded with a sleep. - Shakespeare

that's circular, proves nothing.

You're allowed to scale back the amount of blocks that appear on a page.  Cached blocks are cached and don't need to reload each time the page is reloaded therefore taking up less space.

The identical newsletter types is a glitch that I didn't realize was being seen by you.  I'm not sure what your subscribe panel looks like, when I have time I'll look into it.

Quote:

I'm sorry but I have really no much experience with forums, so again I don't understand very well what "scale back" means and how these blocks should appear, but in the end it really seems to not matter very much...

... is a glitch that I didn't realize...

heh... like it's the only one... some links in this site that point always in this domain give errors, expecially the ones that point in the path "yellownumberfive", like the one on evolution forum on the homepage (http://www.rationalresponders.com/forums/yellownumberfive/evolutionlife).
And why the copyright at the end of every page is "2006-2009"?
Now that it comes to my mind: when I post a comment in a thread, the procedure sends me from the input form to always the first page of a thread, instead of the last where the message is. It's annoying because I don't have a fast connection to internet so I always have to wait the reloading of the entire page.
Another one: always in the "edit comment" page, there is the "allowed html tags": the last one, obj, is not closed.
Just the cherry on the cake: one hour ago two jehovah's witnesses come to ring to hour door to invite us to a half-our 'sermon' on what the death of jesus means of everyone of us, because he died 17 of this month. Does someone want to come?

---

Shouldn't the 89 questions at this point be revised? There's has been some decent answer, I think, like the one that muslims that cannot do what Muhammed has not done: it's been solved with the explanation of the whole path of the islamic law, no?

examining the bottom

examining the bottom 4...

86. Changes in water pressure and temperature that would inevitably ensue a world-wide flood is a more than adequate explanation for the destruction of sea creatures. then again, maybe they were excluded seeing as it might be difficult to sustain them aboard an ark.

87. omnipotence is limited to what is possible logically. "pure energy beings" may not fit that criteria. besides, as sinners he'd have to do away with us anyway, eh?

88. "It" didn't. one of those "ends justify the means" deals I presume.

89. ineffable substance.

Note: Not a Christian, just enjoy playing devil's advocate.

edit:

2. The world wide flood destroyed Eden and put out the flaming sword, obviously.

Pressure and temperature

Pressure and temperature changes are insufficient to account for flooding the world, which never happened. There isn't enough water.

I'm being hypothetical.

I'm being hypothetical. Granted that there is enough water to flood the earth (which there isn't), water pressure and temperature would've changed so dramatically during the event that sea creatures would've died from shock.

Water pressure won't kill sea creatures, by itself.

Two things wrong there:

1. It requires sudden changes in water pressure to kill them, like over minutes;

2. If a critter only can survive at a narrow range of pressure. ie depth, it will naturally swim up to maintain their comfort zone.

Temperature changes would be a problem for many, but the temperature would not necessarily have changed much, and hardly rapidly enough to cause a temperature shock.

The real problem a flood would have caused for most ocean-dweller would have been big change in salinity, although they may have avoided that by keeping out of the layer of fresh water that would have mainly floated on top of the salt water. It would have required massive turbulence to mix the fresh water into all but the shallower layers of the ocean in such a period.

========

87 is not the best way to formulate what the poster seems to be thinking of.

The real problem there is not with omnipotence, but with Omni-benevolence, ie 'All-loving'.

Why did he 'design' so many defects into living things of all kinds?

Why cancer? - Oh, punishing us for Eve's 'sin', which still makes him a prick.

Why all the diseases and parasites? Would not have violated logic.

Etc, etc.

========

War_pig, I get your intent here, and on other threads, but your attempts to 'support' the Theists arguments are usually pretty lame , and tend to betray a lack of relevant scientific background and understanding.

Unless it actually is your intent to parody the sort of responses a Theist might make, to paint them as ignorant?

If we're to take the bible's

If we're to take the bible's ridiculous account literally then that's 30,000 feet of water over the course of 40 days. or 750 ft. per day, 31.25 ft. per hour, and roughly half a foot per minute. I won't pretend to know the first thing about marine biology, but that definitely seems like enough change to induce shock.

---------------------------

I agree, God's supposed benevolence is the real issue here, but the question insinuates that death is a challenge to God's omnipotence. Which I don't think would necessarily be the case.

---------------------------

Yes, I'm actually trying. In my defense, every case made for theism is bound to fallacious or "lame" to some degree.

Six inches a minute is not going to be a sudden pressure change, even if the fish doesn't swim up to keep at the same depth.

In SCUBA diving, the rule when surfacing is to ascend no faster than 60 feet a minute, and descending can be much faster, so I should have experienced massive shock many, many times if what you say were true.

Creatures absorbing their oxygen from the water, ie all of them apart from diving mammals, would have even less of a problem.

And whales swim up and down up to ten times faster than that again, 500-600 feet per minute.

Sorry, if you are going to try to point out our erroneous assumptions in our arguments against Theism, you really need to do a much better job in getting your facts straight than what you have done so far.

IOW, you indeed do NOT "know the first thing about marine biology", and your intuitions are way off, so please check your facts first, unless you want to make yourself look even more ridiculous that an Atheist using a fallacious argument against 'God'.

Calm down. This is all

Calm down. This is all lighthearted fun on my part. I never portrayed my intuitions as "fact" so I can't possible understand how you can go about telling me to get my facts straight. I'm more than welcome to corrections (notice the emphasis), but you've tried to make this an argument. Which is just silly given that I've conceded that arguments for theism are all hogwash.

We get it. You're argumentative. Take that unbridled fury to the debate forum.

Edit: For the record, I introduced water temperature/pressure changes because the question insinuated that "drowning" was the only method by which flooding could kill life. Which I'm sure you'd agree is ridiculous.

-----------------------

Is this list open to new questions? If so, here's a great one.

According to Genesis, only descendants of Adam and Eve have a sense of morality. (only they ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.) How do you account for the display of morality in animals, since they aren't of Adam and Eve's blood line?

You did portray your

You did portray your comments as pointing out 'facts' that were not taken into account when we point out inconsistencies with known facts in Bible stories.

That is an 'argument'. You have been 'argumentative' in virtually all your posts, including this last one. That seemed to be your approach, and I could see the point you seemed to want make. That is what these forums are for, to some degree or other.

You calculated estimates of how fast the flood waters would have risen, and claimed that that would almost certainly have 'shocked' creatures living in the water. That you claimed as a fact, to the best of your understanding. I simply pointed out your estimate of what would have 'shocked' any critters in the water was out by factors of at least 100, or more likely 1000's.

I am not 'furious', let alone to an 'unbridled' degree, just irritated at ignorant dumb-asses who try to avoid conceding they got some 'facts' wildly wring.

I was not in anyway 'furious' at your arguments, but if you keep dodging like this, I may get there.

This is always a danger when you try to parody in some form. It can be difficult for others to distinguish parody from genuine ignorance.

But that is cool.

What isn't cool is unwillingness to admit that you stuffed up on some point. You came back and tried to factually defend your 'point' about 'shock' due to the rate the waters would have had to risen, which is what I was reacting to. Instead of just admitting it was probably wrong, and just part of the parody.

Ok, then.

I probably should have dropped the 'dumb-ass' bit, but occasionally using words like that, or worse, does accurately reflect my feelings at that point, so I don't have such a basic problem with it.

It is when insults are thrown around too easily or casually, that it crosses a threshold.

I try to keep them down -  I  do from time to time re-read a post of mine and tone it down a notch by removing the insults.

I grew up with a 'short fuse', and have had to train myself to control it, but occasionally something will cross my threshold.

I do believe, applied sparingly and appropriately, an occasional expletive is effective at communicating my real emotions at that point.

your questions

1- The world would end. When/if these questions have logical answers you'll be entering a different understanding of things, or , there is someone present in the world who knows what others didn't know.

2- Not suddenly, it takes a bit to understand new information, but in time-yes.

3- If you weren't interested in truth you wouldn't be asking. Apparently you have an idea something is wrong but can't find "what". The answer to what's wrong cannot be obtained from schools of higher learning, government, or any present religions.
4- Open mind. But, my experience with those who claim an open mind are the ones with the most closed. They have an open mind as long as they are agreed with.

In your CAPTDHA you test whether one is human. There's a start, What is "Human". Find that and you have all your answers. You'll learn eveyyhing you need to know on the journey to find out.

Answer to question #1

A-The israelites already had their idea of a Messiah. Their understanding was that a man on horseback with actual armies in tow was going to make the world safe for them.

B- They thought the Messiah would conquer their enemies via warfare. But, they're not understanding of there own book and prophesies. Not by force nor military power, but by my spirit alone. That's in the old testament. The Messiah in this case, is not coming to do land warfare.

C- The Israelite civil authorities wouldn't accept any idea of a Messiah but their,s. It's the old , my way or the highway deal. The same would happen today if JC came as thought. How would he prove himself. What documentation would the US gov accept. And if he had proof on paper they would deem it a forgery so they wouldn't have to give up their positions of prominence. The same with the Hebrew government.

D- JC didn't fit their idea of a Messiah.

Q2- Because they aren't actual material items. They are a of a spiritual nature. You'll need to understand more to get the idea, but, It;s something you and all others already possess. In time you will know. But what it is-is a blockage/sealing by deception in the mind that keeps one from the the truth of spiritual matters. They are the same as the two prophets in the Book of Revelation. You contain two things of which you will eventually know about yourself.

Q3- ahhh yes, the African deal. very simple. 1st, Europeans did a terribly faulty job on interpreting the book. There is a difference between Middle Eastern thought and Europeans. Europeans have a bad habit of claiming everything for themselves. The book is "not" theirs.  Hold on-this is going to get long.  The bible is not what they think it is.

A- The bible is not about the material makings of the universe. There are only two things that exist in the universe, material and spiritual, there is nothing else. Thusly, there are only two basics under which the book can be interpreted, materially or spiritually. When interpreting the book use the spiritual as a rule of thumb. And, when speaking or writing one can only be referencing from one of these on any given subject, that is, speaking or thinking on behalf of one of them.

B- That means that creation in the book is not a material creation. It is not the creation of material, it is a construction of something spiritual.

1- the Apostles point to the "invisible things of creation that can be clearly seen". That means the 7 days are something invisible which in turn means that it------spiritual.

2- An apostle points out ( this is where common religion goes quiet to explain this-they can't) FIRST there was the physical and then the spiritual. Being the physical is material then it is the material that came first. The book doesn't deal with the origin of material. It deals with the origin of "man".

3- "Man" is not a physical body. Man is that which is of spiritual nature residing within a body, mainly the brain. when you picture something you picture it in your head not your feet, there- fore that,s where "you" are. There is no such thing as a human body. Physical/material things cannot be Human. Human is a kind of "person" opposite that of-----animal. Man and/or animal is not a body, it is a spiritual entity. All people contain these two entities in one mind/being. Each is a mental fixture. This entity cannot from unless there is a brain "FIRST". Where there is no brain there is no one. When a brain formed then at some time later a personage/being,spiritual entity formed.

4- Material evidence is material evidence and remains within it's realm. The same with the spiritual. That takes us to Africa.

C- DNA evidence shows clearly that all peoples on the planet originated from a tribe of African Bushmen. These Bushmen migrated throughout the planet. Some settled between the Tigress and Euphrates Rivers. It is "they" that became Adam. Adam are "they" that became enlightened, that is, they came to understand themselves. They seen  and comprehended their spiritual nature. They divided the animal entity from the Human "man" entity and chose-----Human---that's what makes Adam Adam, not some kind of sex object. They were as we are today. Intelligent, had language, and sound reasoning. They conspired to become Human. The things they sorted out are those invisible things of creation that they clearly saw, themselves. There were many peoples in other places on the planet at that time. What makes them different then us was they changed . The change takes place when one resorts to only one side of the entity. Today, we are using both-hence the worlds problems. Civilization operates on the animal entity of force and counter force, greaters and lessers. One has to put all that away to become as Adam. Adam is the same as Christ

A- Europeans are not descendants of Adam. It is the Middle Easterners that are, probably through Abraham.

B- The fall of Adam is the returning to the original state as before.  Dust of the ground is the same as animal entity.

You're a victim of European thinking.

One does not physically die and go to heaven. When the body dies---yer ded. The brain is destroyed and so are you, You are as before you were conceived--you weren't. But---there is also spiritual death which is nothing more the a change of one's person. The old dies and the new takes over. The same as "being reborn". If you remake your person (no intent to say "what to' at this time) you become someone else with the same memories. Heaven is a state of mind where you have become "above" the common thought and personage. It is a mental state of being happy. Throw"ecstatic" out. The garden of Eden is a garden of the mind and it's fruits. One can consider having sex puts one in heaven---that's true but it doesn't last very long and you don't stay there. Heaven is a state of mostly continual contentment and "reasonable" happiness. Take away the worlds troubles and that's where you'll find yourself. There are material and physical things that are heavenly but those are transient. A state of mind can last forever provided someone doesn't kick you in the back of the head and stop the process. That's what armaggedon is for-to take those types away. Don't be fooled- sensuality is a killer. Proper Christianity is that process and knowledge that one is removed from the wilds of civilized nummery and one's mentality becomes slightly wavy instead of jagged ups and downs. Don't plan on "going" to Heaven, plan on "acquiring it.

Question 5

Because they got it wrong. Look at this way for starters. When a psychiatrist studies the mind he/she/it/other/insert own they're studying God/Creator. JC points out --- The father dwells in man. He didn't say dwells in space or anyplace other. Biblicalyy God also refers to man  in several passages. One can also comprehend God as "force", "government" " that which makes a person" . National government can be seen as God. It can also be be the governing factors of one's self. Can be interpreted as "values". It can be the items of one's personal makeup, or others, or the forces of others upon one self. The people elected can be God as they put force of law on you. It can be forces by you upon others. There is no God as religions commonly believe. There is no brain somewhere in the universe that exists without a brain/body. Where there's no brain there no one. Everyone has to admit that they were created. whatever did the creating can be viewed as God. If you take away all other people what forces are you under----your own. Under those circumstances you're God. Who else. The world problems extend from the fact that everyone is trying to be God over and above others. OR, one can throw out the entire idea that there's a God, but, that won't change the forces one is under. There are forces all must submit to. God or no God. The fact is--we're on this planet alone in the regions. We can be whatever we want. If we want to be harmful to others then you'd better have government to put the brakers on you. In that case, government (others) are God. How can one decide something for one's self without being --God. The "God" problem extends from the fact that no one wants another/others to be a greater God then themselves. If there are those that say there is no God, and there are those that say there is, but all  are under the exact same forces. Replace the word "God" with "way" "force" because at times God is used in the place of force/way.

Question 7

What side of God are you referring to. The animal side or the Human side. God/creator contains all those characteristics. Proper Christianity deals with the human side that makes Adam. Being that the established religions don't know this you can understand the worlds problems and where they come from. Bear in mind----there is no possible thing the the world can be saved from other then those who run it.

You are correct. If religions don't change (mainly go away)(which they will) we'll all be dead. Muslims also contain Christianity. If JC is representive of the Human side then all peoples have it. They only need to know what it is.

Question 9

Miracles were common in the old bible days. It takes a special mindset/gift to do them. Miracles have been normally done by people not just automatically. I don't know of any miracles that didn't involve people being present. There also---God is not separate of people. After the re-installment of the new world miracles may be done again . Today no one (that I know of)  has the mind set. There's no real Wizard of Oz.

Question 10

There isn't anyone else. One can have knowledge but still be stupid and vice versa. Sin is merely a mental condition, a personal construction propagated by the State. If yer not a sinner civil authorities will put the bag on you and off to prison you go. They don't like folks better then them. Ask JC. Also consider that what we have since about 50 AD is pseudo Christianity. It's not the true deal. But don't worry, there,s guys on the way who know. Biblical passage-- I will confound the wisdom of the wise and make fools out of the scholars. That's on the way.

Question 11

In this case the bible may be a victim of dark ages interpretations. Them folks were nuts. The number 42 may refer to a condition or sequence of a type. The Hebrews has a numerical language system which I have yet to figure out. The number 6 also meant hook or nail. Other numbers meant door post, palm of hand/or ape etc. I think that's a dark ages interpretive error. But, those old age prophets had powers that are extinct today. Elijah also upon a try of arrest by the kings soldiers called down fire and destroyed the Captain of fifty with his fifty. The next guy was a bit more careful. Here again we have Europeans trying to decipher ancient things from their own state of mind. People who believe in witches, goblins, wizards, and fortune tellers should not be interpreting anything. The main thing wrong with today,s biblical interpretations is this dark ages voo doo. It don't work.

Question 12

They don't know. Stan is nothing more then "deception" and on occasion evil. Satan dwells in everybody and is part of our spiritual makeup.  We are all deceptive at times. The Serpent is normally a symbol of Satan, as a serpent is hard to see and slick. It eats by being slick. It's the old saying "you snake in the grass".  It's nothing to worry about, we've all got the snake. Dishonesty is also one of the snakes processes.

Question 13

That's the way it goes. Out of the pan and into the fire. No one is exempt from the forces around them, Lot neither. It's been that way/God for ages. It's never going to change. The forces of how and why things happen will always be the same. Lot was not exempt. Considering that there' no God as claimed then He/It isn't looking out for us is He/it. Experience in life is the best teacher. "life" can also be interpreted as "God". (hint)

Question 15

There were no spiritual elements present in the universe until a brain formed to house it/them/etc. What you read in the beginning is that formation. Cats and dogs have the same spiritual makeup as you and I.  The word "dog or cat etc" merely denote  a type of body. All physical bodies are made of the same materials and are for the same purposes. There's no such thing as a human body. Human is spiritual, body is physical.

Question 16

That's correct. But faith is only for one that isn't enlightened or know the facts. Once one is knowledgeable of the facts faith go out the window. Faith is for when you don't know. Once you know, what good is faith. That's why religions propagate faith, you don't know and neither do they. Faith in this case amounts to having faith in them- who don't know- can't tell you- don't understand. If they keep you having faith then they can't give you the facts. If they gave you the facts then you wouldn't need faith or them. keep putting money in the basket and have faith they'll figure it out someday--which they won't---you can't put new wine in old wine skins. That's why other folks are coming--to give you the facts, so you can be free. To heck with faith.

Question 17

Very simple- Actually you're wondering why God didn't kill himself. He can't kill Adam without killing himself. Adam is not a singular person, he/it is a kind of person. Adam denotes man/thinker, not male. Eve denotes soul/earth, as in mother earth, not female. Once again we're victims of dark age mentality. They let their genitals get in the way of brain power, what else. Them people were nuts. Firstly, there is no God outside of a physical brain. One could speculate that what made the material could have been forces of a kind but and call it God but it solves nothing. Adam is a people, and Adam had the  little voices inside as everyone else. It's called conscience. Every one of us is a "we" All contain a double entity of human and inhuman, and these two bandy words back and forth. It refer ed to "the duality of God" and that is also us as we are of the same as all others. Here's the deal. It is the "Adamites" that discovered God (yes- God is a discovery), The forces of their inner. Their discovery brings about immortality by willful changing of one;s self into what is called righteous. That means-being man the right way. JC proved this in his resurrection, or at least reasonably showed it. Being that there is no God as religions say, which leaves only one other alternative---us, and God is a discovery of our inner self, Adam would have to shoot himself to get rid of Adam. JC is a reproduction of Adam as being Adam the second (according to an apostle). These two are the same kind of persons. But not to worry. If it was found by someone in the past it could just as well be found by someone else in due time. What we get out of this is a likely hood of immortality. So- we don't want Adam terminating himself.

Question 19

No, because I don't and nobody else does either. Prophesy works very simply. The people of the world are all in the basic same state of mind. It can be seen or predicted where any particular state of mind will lead. If all operate mostly out of animal entity what do you suppose will happen. OK- Watch a cattle herd. If one is going to be an animal then that's the consequences of superiority, greaters and lessers, lots of money and no money. Ever one is trying to better others, and at the same time all are trying to protect from others. Nothing but conflict can result. Understand. If you don't want to be equal then you have to fight someone. You have to guard against being over-taken by another. So now- what do you prophesy on these accounts. That's right, you've got the world you've got. The ancient prophets understood the results of the way the world thinks. Now---you can also prophesy that someone is going to come to fix it. or, give info as to what the problem "is". We can all prophesy another war is going to happen, right. OK, how did you do that.

Question 21

aaaah yes (again) the tower Of Babylon. Yer not going to like this. Are you sitting down. Gotcher anti faint pills. OK. The tower of Babylon was never built in any great proportion. There were towers but only symbolic. Today it's church steeples, government buildings etc. Engineering specs say you won't get it very high with mud brick and slime. without it collapsing on your head. So what's the deal. Remember- the tower was to reach above the heights of the heavens. That's a tuff deal, can't work in the material sense, so, we have to go to the spiritual, which means the tower is representative of something. Guess what---That's right (oh, you didn't get it. OK I'll esplain) CENTRAL GOVERNMENT. The difference between the tower of Babylon and the pyramids is, the Tower is in the bible and the pyramids ain't. That means it has something to do with the Israelites, and that's what the bible is concerned about. Think- Babylon is where civilization was installed for the Israelites by a fella named Nimrod, and That's a no no, because the Isrealites weren't supposed to be ruled by people. they were to be ruled by the spirituals of the Creator. The installation of civil government is against creation of Adam. Now, Adam was Created in the Image and Likeness of the Creator. When one installs civil government it's the government that undos the image of the Creator and remakes citizens into an image of the State, just as you are all made into what the US government, state government, county government, and local government want you to be. hat's why you went to school, so you could be made to the specs of the state. The Babylonians did not invent civilization, they only installed it. The Egyptian civilization was before Babylon.  The installation of civilized authority ends the era of Adam starting an age of Kings in that region. Bear in mind, the bible is for the Israelites, not the entire world. It is their history of their people and descendants. It is the new testament that for everyone. Now, lets get to the crux of the matter. At this point we can leave the pyramids out. Were still dealing with Isrealites not the entire planet- The installation of civilization (think) is the "tree of the Knowledge of good and evil". It is where those in charge decide what is good and what is evil, and they are in the position to create good and evil to be what ever they want it to be. In all of your minds is this tree. You all have the right to create your own good and evil, but, when you create good and evil for others and you are saying that you can do a better job of deciding for them then they can do for themselves. You were never given anything by the creator to do such a thing. You have to take it upon yourself to do so, and in doing so you override the Creator who made all equal in his image and likeness. regardless if you are in the linage of Adam or not. You have nothing less then what Adam had. The tower represents those who tower above the masses. Comprehend this- As it has been said, as Nimrod a mighty hunter before the lord. Hunter in this usage is "predator". What this passage means is that all the people had to become as Nimrod, which sets in a system of all being predator upon each other. That is the  world of business and money making. The Babylonians regarded civilization a pact with the devil. The entire she band was installed by lies and deception (the snake)to fool the people into compliance. When you were formed and born you were formed natural. Instead of your parents teaching you the state took your innocent childhood and formed you into what the state wants. You are a commercial entity, a worker and taxpayer. You are doing what they had you taught to do. Instead of being you they made you them. They are the top predators and you are left with nothing but to be like them because they control the system they profit from. Civilization is an unsolvable problem. It works to make money, enjoy materialism, but you never have any peace of mind. Since the inception of civilization a through all these Melania it has not ever solved a single problem it created at it's forming. This is where this passage applies from the bible--thinking themselves wise they became fools. Civilization exists on continuous lies by those who run it. That's why politicians are always lying, it doesn't work any other way because something founded in lies can only be maintained by lies. If civilization operated on truth it would dissolve itself. In order to be a better over another one has to lie in order to accomplish it. JC was about replacing civil authority not make it work better. It can't work any better then what it is. Through time people have tryed to modify it to work better only to succed for a while, but it will always return to what it was designed for, a few to rule/rob the many.

Nit picking.It wasn't the

Nit picking.

It wasn't the Tower of Babylon, it was the Tower of Babel.

Some have identified it with The Great Ziggurat of Babylon, whose base was square (not round), 91 metres (300 ft) in height.

But it was not 'Babylon' in the original.

The Bible is mostly lies.

'Faith' is lying to yourself that your beliefs are justified.

Religion relies on lies to survive.

Babel and Babylon are the same.

The tower of Babel (if you prefer) was never built. It's an engineering impossibility. The tower is a metaphor for government. The bible is a history of a particular people in a particular place written by them or the scribes. Why would they lie about their history. If it's a material or physical impossibility then it has to be interpreted from the spiritual side. I'm counting on Atheists not to be as blind as the Pope. You all say you are open minded and are free thought. I can be a free thinker and not be an Atheist. Am I to see you are just as fearful at being wrong as well as the pseudo Christians. If you say they're wrong prove it. If you simply want to say they're wrong because they don't make sense to you, then dig in and prove them wrong. In the process you'll find what,s right----then you can prove them wrong, not just claim they are. Apparently you have faith that you are right. Why should you have faith that's true and their is isn't. You are no different then they. You have the same spiritual makeup as they. You say the bible is wrong when it's been interpreted by a bunch of idiots from the dark ages. The Bible isn't wrong--they are. Why judge the book by their stupidity, use your own intellect and find how they are wrong. If you don't prove the book wrong and just "say" it's wrong, how do you know unless you prove it. Things right can be proven right, things wrong can be proven wrong. If you don't undertake the task of peoof then you have no claim.

Question 22

There is no intelligent design of the material universe. Material constructions are a result of the coming together of elements. There was no intelligence existing at the forming of material. It's a simple fact, when things collate things happen. I have full confidence in the fact that sometime or another it will be understood. First the material and then the spiritual.

Question 28.

He didn't. There isn't enough water on the planet to cause such a thing. The flood isn't H2 0. If it doesn't make sense it goes to the spiritual category. How about---they flooded over with hate and anger and killed each other. That happened only in the regions of Noah, not the entire planet. There have been huge floods of the H2-0 type in many places through out history. The Ark is a kind of fortress for safety. The beasts gathered in 2s and 7s are documents of history of man to that point. Beasts can be an interpretation of the inner components of spiritual being.  Simply - records and documents are being stored . The key is the number 7. The number 7 relates to the 7 days of creation. Therefore it has to do with the keeping of information. Staying above the waters (waters equals state of mind) relates to Noah remained above the situation and didn't get involved. The 2 relates to opposites as most things in the spiritual have opposites, such as Love-Hate. JC refers to the era in---it will be as in the days (day=enlightenment=knowledge) They will be eating drinking and making merry then the flood came and took them all away. That's Armageddon, when the evil people do the same as in the time of Noah. Satan kills his own kind.

Question 25

to prove that there can be/ is immortality and resurrection, mainly to show that death can be beat. It's a hard thing to comprehend but here's where faith enters the picture. One can say it's bull but consider that the ones propagating this idea weren't liars. Consider---once a person takes on true Christianity they are no longer a civilized entity. Civilized people are under civil authority for the purposes of regulation. The regulation is to minimize harm toward each other because civilization relies on animal mentality to operate. Remove animal from civilization and it can't exist. Civil authorities merely regulate how much of an animal one is allowed to be. When one becomes as Adam there's no need for external regulation by others. Being that civilization requires liars to run it a Christian also steps out of the world that's regulated by the liars. There-fore---there's no need for them to be a liar. These are two opposite worlds.  If there's no showing of immortality or resurrection Christianity goes down the tubes. Another objective of Christianity is to remove the animal from the social fabric. Once accomplished there can only be peace, and peace of mind. Wars are created from the animal syndrome, and mainly today to be used as a profit means for the operators and their friends. War is good for the economy. A proper Christian cares little for economy and money.

Question 26

God bless America---God bless the king, all the same thing. It's nationalism. It comes from people thinking their country is supported by God. Typical civilized nonsense. All countries operate on the same premise, greaters and lessers. The greaters tell the people we're the best and folks go with it. Civilization in one place is no different then another. It's rivalry that spurs things onward. Civilization demands that people be pawns and puppets. (so much for free thought-if you don't think their way you're in trouble-you're an outcast). The system relies on competition. No competition, no civilization. Competition is an animal trait. Numba 1

Old Seer,We don't have to

Old Seer,

We don't have to assume people are "lying about their history", to question what accounts survive. People come to believe all kinds of erroneous things, for all kinds of reasons, and stories change in the retelling, without requiring conscious 'lying'.

You may be old, but that response alone indicates that age has not brought you wisdom.

Question 29

If it don't make sense then it a spiritual item where it will make sense. Waters denote a mental process, a state of mind, a direction of thought, as the "flowing" of ideas etc.  You'll notice in creation there are waters "above'" the Heavens. Pseudo Christian theologians think there was water in orbit around the planet and it came down to cause the flood, but that don't explain where it went after it ran off. Again we have dark age magical nonsense to deal with. Let's go to the book of revelation and see how nuts them guys were. What does "the third part of the rivers were destroyed" mean. They say 1/3 of the rivers on the planet will dry up, or something to that effect.  BAWSH, look at it again. it' says the "third part". A river has 4 parts, the source, the water, the banks, and the outlet or mouth. Remove the 3rd part, the banks,  what do you get, a flood. Once again it will be as the time of Noah when the people flooded over with hate and anger and killed each other. Everyone was everyone's fault. An Armageddon of there time.
