Forget legality or party, why the fuck would Trump say this?

Even if I was a republican, what DUMBASS Trump Tweeted this morning makes no sense as a tactic.

Yesterday Comey says on record, "He had the right to fire me, I'll be fine".

Then this on @realDonaldTrump Twitter page this, this morning.

James Comey better hope that there are no "tapes" of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!"

I cant figure out if the FBI is really close to something he doesn't want uncovered, but even if that were not the case, why would you say something like that about a guy who said you had the right to fire you?

It has to be the FBI is onto something, or Trump never really wanted the job and is looking to piss off enough people so he can step down and save face. Again, if I were a Republican, this still would make no sense to say.

I'm guessing --but

I don't think the floks that follow Trump care a tadly bit who he fires or who he bombs. They want Trump to get back to the good ole Americana and craete jobs (however he's suppossed to do that) and halt trade agreements' They're more concerned about the " how much is in my wallet dept" then whio's running the, CIA, NSA, AAA, FBI, FBEYE, or the dept of BYE BYE. I don't know what particular time in US history they want to return to, but I suggest the 1950s. Trumps followers want the US to be the US and ta hell with global trade. When looking over the gobal situation there's hardly a country that likes the government in their country. I'm fairly neutral on most of these things so I can see things from the outsiders view. It's very simple---Who made the deals of global trade. it was and is the ideas of the elites, right. From my observation post I can see that the little guy had no say in these deals so guess whos the big wiiners. Yup, you got that right. Get the picture???? So, who Trump fires gets a low or no rateing from floks who can't get enough money to live on, and from floks who have so much money they don't need to gather another penny for 20 generations and can't get enough money either. So, floks don't give a hoot who Trump fires or hires ---all they want is a square  [_  deal.

i have no doubt he wishes he

i have no doubt he wishes he could resign, but in his sick, narcissistic brain, admitting failure literally is not an option--it just does not compute. in this respect, he's just like someone like kim jong un, who was raised to think he's divine. i really think on an unconscious level, trump believes he's divine too. thus he's compelled to see this through, convinced of his own ability to produce a last minute miracle. kim jong il once told his father he'd see all of korea destroyed before he allowed himself to lose power, much to his father's approval. i have no doubt trump feels the same about america.

Or maybe 'stupid' is a better way of saying it; but I have never seen much point in getting heavy with either stupid people or Jesus freaks, just as long as they don't bother me. In a world as weird and cruel as this one we have made for ourselves, I figure anybody who can find peace and personal happiness without ripping off somebody else deserves to be left alone. They will not inherit the earth, but then neither will I. . . . And I have learned to live, as it were, with the idea that I will never find peace and happiness, either. But as long as I know there's a pretty good chance I can get my hands on either one of them every once in a while, I do the best I can between high spots."

Trump is the best president

Trump is the best president in my life. I've never laughed so hard. The guy is so cartoony I can't get mad at him. He's destroying everything in the US, and it's about time too. He might just be capable of bringing truth and respect back to American politics just by swinging so far against truth and respect that a backlash is necessary. Seriously. O'Reilly and a number of other right wing nuts have been pushed from centre stage all the way to the fringe, because their shock and awe style looks amateurish compared to Trump. All the alt right groups are just as pissed at him as the left is now. Hell, everyone's pissed at him. The only reason the republicans are being so quiet is they're hoping for another justice on the supreme court. But once there's enough fuel to make a second term completely impossible they'll turn on him so fast his head will spin.

This is going better than I expected.

Excellant insight. What you're saying here is, All his fuck ups will get polititians to realize they're a bunch of idiots. I can see that.

Nice to see us both on the same page for once.

I agree, and the PBS documentery "Frontline" covered the lives of Trump and Hillary, and it covered his early life and how overbearing his dad was. His dad hated failure and taught Trump to win at all costs no matter who he had to step on or crush to get that win.

Now while I don't see him having the ability to suddenly consolidate power overnight, his tone and tactics do reflect the same language of propaganda of Hitler. He won selling hyper nationalism, scapegoated countless groups, attacked media and intel, basically anyone who questioned him. Trump scorched his way through the primaries burning his own party to get the nomination.

I do see a danger long term that if more politicians take his tactic that can have a long term damaging effect on our system.

I do think that the sane can fight this, if there is a sustained and increasing effort every day. At a minimum it can put him on a leash, that way if he continues letting his ego control him, he will get to the point of jumping a shark not even the GOP can ignore.

I really hope he ends up like Nixon. He is either going to be a 1 term president, or he will get impeached, I don't see him going a full 8 years, and the way he is behaving now, not even sure he will make it to 2020.

no, i was only comparing kim

no, i was only comparing kim and trump in terms of personality. trump can never hold absolute power, though i'm sure he wants it. in his mind, he thinks, "if these idiots would just untie my hands, i could solve everything in a matter of days." there's already enough shit to impeach him now, and maybe it will happen, but the republicans are going to prevent it as long as they can to spare their party the embarrassment. when it becomes unavoidable, however, they will turn on him like hyenas on a lame member of the pack and be the first to drive home a conviction. you watch.
