Let the atheists start their own St. Paddy's parade that is only open to atheists / agnostics. Problem solved.
The Guinness Storehouse has the following, so the parade officials are douchebags and should allow the atheists to be in the parade.

Who is paying for the parade? If it is government sponsored then they should be forced to include the atheists. If it is some private group they can do whatever they want and the atheists should quit whining.

I have never understood the appeal to parades in the first place. I can't care.

yeah, i don't think anybody's given a shit about parades since the '50s ended. you know, when the general public finally figured out pretty much ANYTHING is more entertaining...
"I have never felt comfortable around people who talk about their feelings for Jesus, or any other deity for that matter, because they are usually none too bright. . . . Or maybe 'stupid' is a better way of saying it; but I have never seen much point in getting heavy with either stupid people or Jesus freaks, just as long as they don't bother me. In a world as weird and cruel as this one we have made for ourselves, I figure anybody who can find peace and personal happiness without ripping off somebody else deserves to be left alone. They will not inherit the earth, but then neither will I. . . . And I have learned to live, as it were, with the idea that I will never find peace and happiness, either. But as long as I know there's a pretty good chance I can get my hands on either one of them every once in a while, I do the best I can between high spots."

it's still fucking weird to ban an atheist float in a community parade in the land of the 'free'and the home of the 'brave'.

Who paid for that bar, if it is in a public airport then it should have integrated bathrooms, but if it is a private bar then blacks should use separate bathrooms.

A parade is not legally bound by anti-discrimination laws like an establishment that is open to the general public. It is considered a private association and as such is as free to discriminate as the Ku Klux Klan or the Black Panthers or indeed, this sites ability to ban users for whatever reason the mods decide. Under current law it is completely legal, and I believe it should be.
As far as businesses that are open to the general public, I believe they should be allowed to discriminate if they wish. I would rather know who the racist pricks are so I am not unwittingly giving them money, but that is a completely different issue and is obviously currently illegal and will probably always be illegal. Do you enjoy giving your money to assholes? Just because you don't see the racism, doesn't mean it disappeared.

You might be interested to know that airports are private, not public, property.

In the US all commercial airports are owned by state or local governments. The only privately owned commercial airport is Branson Airport in Missouri which is really small and has been hemorrhaging money like crazy for its investors. It turns out that Branson, Missouri isn't really the tourist hot spot they thought an airport would somehow make it.

Hey digitalbeachbum, In case you hadn't realized, this Thread is not a Parade. Although I guess with the presence of You and Brian37 it is quickly becoming a Parade of Idiots.
