Auctioning off the Redskins to the lowest bidder.

The last time the Redskins won a Superbowl was against the Bills in the early 90s. And even during their heyday during the 80s we suffered injuries and setbacks. But draft after draft and player after player who puts up good numbers individually, we still cannot get all 8 cylinders firing at the same time.

RG3 is our best hope yet. But I have seen other teams rely on one person's talent too much. RG3 is not the entire team. We still need to convert third downs, and stop the oponant on defence on third down. We still need consistent special teams and field goal units.

In our loss today we relied too much on him busting plays or making big passes. Consistancy to me is when you get third and short with a play option. And we need a defence that can stop both the pass and the run.

I love RG but it is still a team sport and it takes all sides of the ball to put RG in the position of doing what he does well.

When he got knocked out of todays game, I saw that comming. It is great that he can scramble and confuse the defence and roll out of the pocket. But you cant do that every play and expect the QB to stay healthy on any team. You still need a running game and pass protection.

I really cant say much though,  we went from the decent older 80s and 90s motifs to looking like we should have a 'Sponsored by McDonnalds" patch on our uniforms.

The skins lost because of poor coaching, a crappy owner and not enough balance on the team

Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away.

A little bit of irony here. The last Super Bowl they won was against the Redskins and the last Super Bowl they lost was against the Redskins. Wanna guess which is older? The win or the loss? Still love Marino though, any NFL fan has to like him as a player.

Plenty of times I thought they were going to the super bowl but your owner thought that spending a ton of money on talent worked. However with that ton of talent comes a ton of egos.

Think of poor me.

It  use to be so easy to be a Pat's fan, they simply blew everyone away by half time then coasted to another easy win. These guys are giving me heart palpatations. The Jets made so meny misques it should have been 35 - 7 at half time. Instead they have to play overtime before the Jets fumble away the game.

The day of the Patriots is over. I don't see them going back to the superbowl for another twenty years.

In all seriousness, this does reflect the model far too many businesses take now. It relies, not on putting out a decent product, but volume and profit. It is just like the god model character, get enough people to buy the cheap crap based on hope and tradition while absconding themselves from any scrutiny.

This really is mostly Danny's fault because he is concerned with filling the stands and getting his share of the product sales. I find it funny that socialism in the private sector is fine and that it is ok for him to blackmail MD for tax payers dollars to build a stadium, but what do the fans get out of it?

Now that does make me a bit of a hypocrite admittidly. I guess even though I dispise the way the NFL has a monopoly on the sport, I still love the sport and cant bring myself to take it out on the fans because it is an escape I do enjoy.

I will say this however, my breaking point would be if these jackasses, especially cronic loosers like Danny, if he starts putting FED EX adds or Papa Johns adds on the field, that will be it for me. I hope that day never comes. College already does that and I fear it will eventually bleed into the NFL.

Snyder is a dope.

I would get a shrink to do psych test on all the players and attempt to not only get their skills but their attitude to gel with the rest of the team.

Brian Brian Brian, my fine feathered friend, no. I most certainly have empathy IN ALL SERIOUSNESS, all trash talk aside, in that the Eagels have not won a Super Bowl. And I have made myself and you a promise, that if they ever get there again, I WILL ROOT FOR THEM. Because of love of the sport and every fan of any team that is the goal. And since you are my friend, if we arn't facing each other in the playoffs, I will root for the Eagles. I think the glow of a Super Bowl win on your face is a friendship issue that goes beyond team rivallries.

But when you say they have done nothing? 4 NFC championchips in a row? Yea you might have lost them, but at least you got there AND 4 years in a row. Since Danny has taken over I think we've only made the playoffs a handful of times and only one NFC championchip we lost.

Even the Bills losing 4 Super Bowls in a row is more than the Redskins can even come close to. But it is still funny, even at work my boss, a Cowboy fan is also debating with me about who sucks more. You know, it would be nice to go back to the 80s when the NFC was the divison to beat and not the NFL doormate it is now.

So lets not get into who sucks more and maybel leave it at "we all suck".

You are right about that. I hate more the way the Skins lost to the Giants yesterday than the fact that they lost. I like close games when my team isn't playing, but I hate heart attack games when the Skins play, especially against division rivals. I want them to win big or lose big.

That fucking pissed me off that RG takes them down the feild, gets them the lead, and ONE PLAY ON BLOWN COVERAGE ON ONE PASS gives the Giants the win. RG hands the team a win and our defense folds like a house of cards.

We are seriously like that nerd who works up the nerve to hit on the hot blond at the bar and then when she says yes, we run away screaming. "SHE SAID YES, WHATDO I DO WHATDO I DO?"

Ok you might have me on that point then. But when you have the greatest QB in forever but still a cronic problem with closing the deal with better talent this year, throw some sympathy my way too. I want to think it might get better but 7 games out with almost half the season over, I don't see the Redskins doing better than 9-7 and with the Giants being as good as they are, or at least sufficient in our division, a wild card at 9-7 would still depend on some loss of another NFC team and with the way we have played so far despite the awsome offensive numbers, I don't see us right now even getting a sloppy second under the radar entry into the playoffs. Join the club.

Sucks to be us.

Yeah, I agree with that. I picked the Eagles to win their division this year and they aren't doing as good as I thought. They still have a chance though, the Giants have a very tough schedule after their bye having the Packers, the Skins again, Saints (who are starting to look good again and seem to have gotten over the off season shenanigans), Falcons, Ravens and the Eagles. Those are six games that they will have real potential to lose. Very likely they will lose 2 or 3 of them.

Comparatively the Eagles have an easier schedule, it will probably depend on how the two games with the Skins goes and whether they will be able to beat the Giants in the last game. I wouldn't be surprised if that final game is the one that decides the division leader.

If, if a white man puts his arm around me voluntarily, that's brotherhood. But if you - if you hold a gun on him and make him embrace me and pretend to be friendly or brotherly toward me, then that's not brotherhood, that's hypocrisy.- Malcolm X
