I post all over the web, but I want a back up in case my computer or one particular website goes down.
I have decided to edit this post because I do not like giving people the wrong impression. I cannot read Shakespeare to save my life. I just remember this one line from act 5 scene 5 and put my own spin on it. I've had to explain this over and over so here I decided to put that in this post so there is no more presuming what I know or don't know. But the plot of MacBeth is the old lesson, you can have everything and nothing at all at the same time. And how did all that cruelty serve you in the end? But I do not like play summeries calling him a Nihisist, because it is possible to not do what he did, and accept life as being finite, and sitll have morals without religion.
NEW EDIT 9/19/22 I got pissed at myself that I was scared to read MacBeth, so tonight, I forced myself to read it online. Now mind you, I did not understand it line for line, but basically Macbeth was an assdhole who murdered his way to the top, and did not believe the 3 witches prophcies. He murdered Duncan and had Banquo murdered. Banquo's ghost haunts Macbeth. And made the grave mistake of attacking McDuff's family and killing them(If I am reading this correctly) But Lady MacBeth has a guilty conscience and kills herself, upon finding out Macbeth basically says that life is not worth living and he should go down with a fight anyway, but refuses to fight Macduff face to face and Macduff kills him as the hero. ( I SERIOUSLY read the entire play every line, tonight. I even know where the famous line "double double, toil and trouble". comes from. The three witches, basically saying "look out Macbeth" your ass is in trouble.
So basically the moral of the play, don't be a fucking asshole when trying to get to the top, or "the bigger they are the harder they fall". Reminds me of the movie Scarface and all the shitty things Tony did to get to the top and all for not. But Sosa in that case was not a good guy either.

This poem is about a nutcase woman who was SUPER SUPER jealous that I dated. I had dumped her, but she was so abusive to me I had a nightmare even after dumping her, and one night woke up in a cold sweat. This poem is about that dream. In it I am in a house with a "future" girlfriend(not in reality, just in the dream, in it she is faceless). The abusive woman was not faceless. Now I am not into dream reading, this merely was my brain being over active in my dream state, likely brought on by some real stress I was not aware of.

A woman
Who had gone by the wayside
A woman I had once loved
Accosted my subconscious last night
She poured gas
On a marble floor
Glaring up at me
With hate
A top, I was
On stairs of glass
Looking down
Upon my fate
Would she make glow, the marble floor
I had labored in this dream?
As she ran out the front door
And locked me in, I did hear her scream.
Vengeance she did want, my projector did convey
For all those times I had flirted
In her eyes
To her dismay
Down I ran
Holding banisters
Of chestnut wood
The long journey, a short distance
Running as fast as I could.
A faceless body
Did appear
At the place
Where I had been
From the top
She did inquire
"What trouble
Are we in?"
My love of new
I had to save
My love of old
A subconscious slave.
This house of white
Composed of many windows
So vast was such this sight
We had nearly froze.
Bulletproof glass
Uncommonly paper thin
I did try to break
Forcefully holding us in.
Was more than I could take.
A run, a smash,
Then we were out,
Police were scrambling
All around
Her hands in cuffs
They did place
Never again
Would I see her face
My love of new
I had to save
My love of old
A subconscious slave.

Is the glass,
We look through,
Transparent?
Or,
Does it have
A silver side?
Eyes,
That we look into,
The pupils may not be new,
Duplicates they may be
Or,
A residence,
Of the silver side.
Silver,
A fickled color,
Silver,
A distorted color,
Silver,
A shinny color,
Silver,
Of many shades.
Silver,
A fickled color,
Black and gold,
Are its friends,
Never it is seen,
With pink or orange.
Silver,
A distorted color,
Of unmanaged coins,
Tarnished by conceit.
Silver,
A shinny color,
That medals display,
Pride or ego,
Hero or braggart,
To what reward,
Do we owe?
Silver,
A useful color,
For it reflects.

Transparent,
Deceitful,

Of my thumb

Uhhhh? What?
It's impossible for an atheist to write poetry consistently speaking. Because in atheism, you can't step in the same river twice. This would also imply grammar and syntax of language including the sciene of poetry.
Unless you are inconsistent, if you suck at being an atheist, then poetry is possible. Though only due to the fact that you are a distorted kind of image of God.
When you are in hell, and you are no longer the image of God, you will no longer be able to write poetry. For if you did, you would have to convey your screams line after line after line. you would have room for nothing else.

This poem is an ode to the Essay of Mark Twain( Samuel Clemens) about how while progress was made, Twain was wise to recognize that as long as people read their holy books the written word is always a weapon.
And for those who don't know the origin of the pharmacy symbol comes from the Egyptian myth of the healing god Thot spitting in the eye of Horus to cure his blindness. The R is Thot and the x is the eye of Horus. The same "miracle" motif is found later in history also in the bible.
I read this excerpt from the book "The Portable Atheist"(the late Christopher Hitchens) and hardly "Portable". The book is as thick and big as the Yellow Pages, still a good read.

Another ode to Hitchen's Portable Atheist. Now Lucretius was not "onto something" but merely was stating the obvious, even though he didn't know the modern scientific reality. He defaulted to cycles and that material seemed to merely be made of smaller parts that mixed. That being the reality of nature and life in no need of superstitious gods, even to his mind existed, seem to have no concern with humans.

I am wondering why Obama waited until after the NC vote to do the right thing. He already repealed DADT and refused to enforce the defense of marriage act. All I can think is that he is thinking long term. But the risk I see is that some will ask "where were you last week, last month"?
I hope this doesn't hurt him. But damn, last week Biden said that he supported gay marriage.
AND the worst part is that the social issues are what exactly what Republicans use to distract voters from economic issues.
And I am totally ashamed right now that I live in NC.

Looking 'at' the '*content', I fail to see where Brian37 "sucks at being an atheist", that has to be a quote for the ages
Jean you keep tossing around this word friend. Friends seldom get down on their friends; want to know why ? Because they are friends.
Friends SHOULD get down on their friends. But "friend" to Jean isn't in that context, "friend" to him is merely someone to abuse or scam. I would want someone to tell me if I have body odor at work. I would want someone to correct me if I am wrong. Jean doesn't care about me. He cares about how he can use me.
But I am fine with him being here. If his tactic is to try to put me on display, two can play that game. I am a big boy. Jean is as as much a threat to me as his god is.

This poem is about a girl I pined after in high school. I look back at it now and how stupid I was in obsessing over what was merely my hormones. The title is based on her last name. High school is cruel to many, not just about the opposite sex, but when you are awkward and insecure, it makes those teen years that much more cruel. I am so happy that those years are behind me and those insecurities can be overcome with time.

The title is a take off of a line in a Sting song line in the song "King Of Pain". I couldn't tell you what kind of bird it was, but it was injured and in the middle of the same road that I found the baby rabbit on the side of the road.

Is actually my most favorite part - it shows how strong flowers are and how strong a human being is if it believes. Not only in himself but also in other forces stronger than we can be sometimes. Heavenly forces. Still the flowers remind me of love and faith. Maybe that is why I always order flowers from a serenata florist in Manchester. They make me happy.

Buying their popcorn soda and snacks
All impatient
During the previews
Anticipating
The excitement to come
As the credits rolled
The ominous music
Pounded out
Their immoral movie
But it was not butter
On the popcorn
It was the blood
Of indoctrination
If Dr Doolittle
Had sold Lot
Or Malichi 2:3
Would the movie be rated G
If Luke Skywaker said
"Kill all the boys
And save the girls
As in Numbers 31:17-18
Would this proud father
Take his family
To that movie
Or call it moral?
If Harry Potter
Said "Kill the first born"
Would he be a hero
Should he be a hero?
When they talk of the flood
None of these parents
In reality would
Take their kid to a morgue
Drowned bodies
Are bloated
Distorted
And smell on the slab
This blockbuster
Is not cute
Nor suited
For the young
It is full of gore
Murder, immorality
Incest
And genocide
Rated G
Would hardly be
An appropriate rating
For this
Horror film
The pulpit actor
On Sunday's screen
Shouts to the young
"YOU SHOULD FEAR HIM!"
Crippling them
Into needless submission
No chance for them
To decide for themselves
If that does not work
He becomes the concession stand
Selling them fictional Goobers
Popcorn and Junior Mints that don't exist
This same poor player
Bribes them with farm animals
In pairs
On the tables of waiting rooms
No sane parent
Is going to expose
Their child that young
To Misty Beethoven
No sane parent
Is going to subject
A pliable brain
To the likes of Freddy
So to these parents
I ask the following
If rightfully the case
Then why the hypocrisy
If that book
You falsely call "good"
Then read all of it
While they are young
Shout at them
Like you claim
God threatens us
For our own good
Advocate violence
Beat them
Like you say
We deserve
Read every word
To them
Rape their minds
While you can
You recoil at these words
As sick blasphemy
But the poor player
Sells it on Sunday
It will never be
Rated G
And it will never be
"A good book"
Otherwise
You could read it
All of it, every word
Without censorship

Thank you, but it wasn't really about priests molesting children. It was an indictment of the entire book. If it were such a good book, then parents shouldn't have to gloss over the violence and cruelty in it with a child.
It is an insidious book that masks a threat bribery system as virtue.
The real reason that those nasty things exist in the bible is it is a reflection of how cultures behaved back then and was written in a very ignorant tribal time. Appeal to authority and blind loyalty and no mercy to the enemy were common accepted social norms back then.

I was just trying a line of poetry myself.
I have heard christians say the horror in the book shows it's divine because it paints its heros, like david, in a bad light. But what they don't see it its the same for their god.
