Introduction from Memphis, TN.
Hello everyone,
I found this site, while searching for some Atheist quotes in an online debate and decided to sign up. I have enjoyed the posts and the content that I have read so far and hope to gain further knowledge and information from here. I have been an Atheist for quite a number of years, but am always eager to hear more ideas and opinions from fellow non-believers. I would say, Thank God I found this site, but since I don't believe in him, I'll just say, glad I found all of you.

Hi Harleysportster!
You and I were on the same quest and found the same atheist forum, both from TN, ...I wonder if we were on the same other forum?
What a co-inky-dink that would be!

Hehe, that would be quite a coincidence wouldn't it ? The forum that I do alot of my debating on, here in Memphis, are the local news forums. The churches in this city try to have a heavier influence on the local politics than they should (well actually, I don't think they should have ANY) and there is always a controversy brewing the local newsmedia about something that seems to turn into a religious discussion. I was searching for the quote, (paraphrasing here) that says that mankind will not be free until the last king is strangled by the entrails of the last priest, and somehow, one of my google hits, brought me here.

Welcome!
Everything makes more sense now that I've stopped believing.
I am currently in Portland OR, though I grew up in the southwest.
I have a friend who is an ex-coworker who has a Harley. He hangs with the local clubs and goes for rides on sunny days. He confesses to being strictly a fair weather rider. Which means most of the winter here his bike sits in his garage.
-- I feel so much better since I stopped trying to believe.

Hey and welcome. I'm in Corpus Christi, TX. Is this considered the bible belt too people? I've seen a lot of the jesus fish on cars.
If all the Christians who have called other Christians " not really a Christian " were to vanish, there'd be no Christians left.
Welcome Sir....
