My dear american friends

Seriously, you must fight for your education system, I have far too long enjoyed your ignorance regarding your own country, states, capitals etc, etc, but seriously, this video shows how the rest of the world see you....uneducated, religious ignorant twats......I have to say this for the sake of those intelligent, educated Americans I have met (and Oh thankfully never at a college bar/pub where I win all my vacation money....those college kids are damn stupid).

O.K. I admit that my high school had its fair share of idiots and people who were ignorant of other religions/cultures. However, I don't think anyone was misinformed to such an extent. I think, and really really hope that this is a very rare and extreme case.

I don't understand why the Christians I meet find it so confusing that I care about the fact that they are wasting huge amounts of time and resources playing with their imaginary friend. Even non-confrontational religion hurts atheists because we live in a society which is constantly wasting resources and rejecting rational thinking.

crush....kill...destroy...!!

For the  two years I have been on this site I have never considered an act of violence, until now;  thanks Latin.... I thought you liked me. I grew up in the USA and I can not think of a more pathetic bigotted pile of ignorence then I saw on that video.  We weren't taught about Hindus as such in school but in central Maine we were taught basic human dignity  and the difference between India and Africa.

I dare say I know more about Hindus then anyone on this site;    The girl Saraa handled herself in a typical Hindu manner she realy did not understand about converting to any religion; Hindus simply add any good ideas into their religion. I've heard Pandits preach & quote J.C. without realizing they were quoting the New testiment.  When I point it out to them they usually react with "that's okay, we make it Hindu now".  You should see the Hindus and Muslims of Guyana celebrate christmas  and don't waste time explaining it's suppose to be a Christian thing.  They won't believe you,  this athiest plays Santa every December just to add to the confusion.

I loved the reaction of the two  "jesus freaks"  when they said they couldn't be friends with Saraa any more because she wouldn't convert and Saraa just said  "okay, bye".   Pure Hinduisim in action.

JESUS FREAKS:  wait a minute,  where are you going?!!!!!!!

                SARAA: You just said........

JESUS FREAKS:  But you can still convert we like you....

I suppose it would be a waste of time to explain to the dingbat racists that Indians & Europeans are all the same Caucasian race. I still feel like slapping their faces off.   I'm going to start calling them Bliss 1 & Bliss 2, after all if ignorence is bliss  what else would I call them?

"Very funny Scotty; now beam down our clothes."

VEGETARIAN: Ancient Hindu word for "lousy hunter"

If man was formed from dirt, why is there still dirt?

  HOLY F**K!!!  These are

HOLY F**K!!!  These are either 2 of the stupidest and truly sickest girls in the world or 3 of the brightest young actors and skit writers the world has ever seen.  I'm at a lost for words, it's hard to believe poeple can be like this but the execution looks to real to be a fake, especially the brown girls passive aggresive exit.  Truly a disturbing piece of footage, hard to make it through the hole thing.  I found myself thinking of the various ways I could smack those little girls, is that bad? haha

I hate to lump people together I've met alote of great Americans, but when I travelled alote of the American's I met (youth 20-30's) still had a "you know everyone wants to be American" thing going on.  This annoyed alote of people because most people don't give a flying f**k about being American, they're proudly Kiwi's, or Germans, or South Africans or whatever, they don't want to be Americans at all.  Another thing I noticed is that youth from other countries (Switzerland, Austria, South Korea etc..)  in general seemed to have a better fundemental understanding of geography, and basic history of other countries.  I know nothing of the American elementary and highschool curriculum... these are just my observations.  I met many American's that didn't fit this stereotype, but their was such a large number that did one would take notice.

It had to be put on, the "african" girl, lol, would not have put up with that unless she too was a complete and utter moron. If that is the case, who spoon feeds these people? I think the people who got the new nikes and some change for the spaceship might have been smarter than these act.

I stopped the video at about

I stopped the video at about 3:30. Couldn't take it anymore. Hurt my brain.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, | As I foretold you, were all spirits, and | Are melted into air, into thin air; | And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, | The cloud-capped towers, the gorgeous palaces, | The solemn temples, the great globe itself, - Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve, | And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, | Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff | As dreams are made on, and our little life | Is rounded with a sleep. - Shakespeare

While flicking through a few

While flicking through a few related video's, I found this little gem. MSU is about 3 miles from my house and I never heard about this, lol. But this is pretty much what I'm surrounded by in this community ><.

Edit: notice how they act like it is standard procedure "will someone in the back call an ambulance please, blah blah and now we will begin."

OP, translated: "critical thinking sucks!"

If memory serves, Rook Hawkins wasn't all that "well educated" (on paper, that is), and he wasn't terribly fond of Academia as well.

I can relate...

...but nevertheless, does this thread mean I can use Karla Homolka as an example of the substance of character found in The Commonwealth territories? Maybe I can throw in Paul Bernardo as an Iconic Portrait™ of Canada as well.

Naw, seriously folks... where's the limit on "pick and choose random morons out of one country" to make fun of said country?

If the rest of you really want to get down to brass tacks:

There are ignorant fuck ups in every spot of the globe. Why waste undue time and energy discussing these individuals?

“A meritocratic society is one in which inequalities of wealth and social position solely reflect the unequal distribution of merit or skills amongst human beings, or are based upon factors beyond human control, for example luck or chance. Such a society is socially just because individuals are judged not by their gender, the colour of their skin or their religion, but according to their talents and willingness to work, or on what Martin Luther King called 'the content of their character'. By extension, social equality is unjust because it treats unequal individuals equally.” "Political Ideologies" by Andrew Heywood (2003)

This is a classic example (extreme as it is) of how the power of the belief in the mind can effect the body so dramatically.  You would think someone this invloved in their beliefs could see and do all kinds of crazy sh**.

Oh well...

Right now I'm a seemingly straight-laced, shiftless guy with a headache.  *groan*

Most of the time I'm a quiet guy and I keep to myself. Occasionally, I do actually enjoy socializing, but only in small groups.

I'm gonna go with "brilliant twisted comedian", since my 'wackiness' is mostly an act (MOSTLY!), and like I told Kidvelvet "I like cracking people when I can get away with it"

Quote:
edit:  Nice new avatar by the way, although I think you could have gone creepier.

I'll give you a few options to toy with:

Vlad the Impaler: ruthless monarch and mass murderer of Hungarians

Lion Woman: mentally disturbed person abandoned by fiance after she permanently disfigured herself in the name of... "love"

Elizabeth Bathory: Highly attractive bisexual aristocrat and sexual sadist. Tortured hundreds of teens and young adult women to death. Humble, benevolent mother, ironically.

(my personal favorite) Emperor Caligula: Ironically didn't like being called Caligula, on pain of death. "Never was there a better servant or a worse master!"

Albert Fish: Pedophile who tortured and cannibalized several children before being electrocuted from a death penalty sentence. Nicknamed "the boogieman" in 1920s New York City.

And at the top of the CREEPER TOTEM POLE...

...Gilles de Rais: You *DON'T* want to know. Srsly... you'll lose your appetite for a week, at least.

Gilles didn't have a portrait made of him, for better or for worse. He did however illustrate many rational criticisms of a the Late Middle Age Catholic Church.

H. P. Lovecraft has the heart of a little child.  He keeps it in a jar on his desk.

I can not remember who said this first.  I know it was originally about HP Lovecraft as I remember reading it first in one of the sci-fi pulps.  I see from doing a google search, a lot of people have appropriated it but not one of them knows the original author.  Was it Harlan Ellison?

Quote:

Scientology is bullshit! Man, I was there the night L. Ron Hubbard invented it, for Christ's sakes! (...) We were sitting around one night... who else was there? Alfred Bester, and Cyril Kornbluth, and Lester del Rey, and Ron Hubbard, who was making a penny a word, and had been for years. And he said "This bullshit's got to stop!" He says, "I gotta get money." He says, "I want to get rich". And somebody said, "why don't you invent a new religion? They're always big." We were clowning! You know, "Become Elmer Gantry! You'll make a fortune!" He says, "I'm going to do it."

I watched the whole thing to try to figure out what you were on about...

Nothing.

This is really, really, very common folks.  It may be slightly different in liberal hotspots, or around the North coasts, but particularly in the interior and the South, the majority of people are like this.  The only differences being:

1. Most of them have *never* been exposed to somebody of different belief long enough to discuss it

2. When they do, the people instigating the discussions are less tolerant and more prone to anger (these girls were  extremely chill by comparison), and the person on the receiving end usually doesn't hang around.

3. Those discussions are rarely put on Youtube.

This was an interesting intersection, but I've seen far worse.  This is a more than fair depiction of U.S.A. youths in the South and interior- even more, it's beyond fair; it's generous.

FUCKING. BINGO.

Who can possibly imagine a dumber 'cult' than so-called "Humanism". You "worship" your own species, you have to accept some of *THE* most ridiculous phenomena associated in it's name!

Theism, for example... and also genocide, mass execution of "those who are different from us", mass rape in the name of "conquests", mass exile of "enemies of zhe state!", INANE moral proscriptions against everyone else on the basis of "it might upset the invisible skydaddy!"... and my own, personal favorite:

"DO AS I SAY, NOT AS I DO!"

(#1 reason why xtianity -particularly RCC- and islam is in the GIGANTIC heap of shit that they find themselves in, in the 3rd millennium, anyone?)

Humanity is like this never-ending, unintentional self-parody that has not a *SINGLE* idea of when to quit, and go back to the drawing board.

This why guys (or gals) like Penn Jilette and Rich Woods rock my fucking socks: they are able to look at a broader portrait of human civilization, and think "What's wrong with this image?"

Pineapple, you've successfully convinced me in the superiority of your rationality. I will pay no attention to that goon hammy from this point on. (nor do I care how many university classes you have under your belt, either. Poor standard of character, and what not.)

However this is what many folks see the US as now these days outside of the US. Hell even in Canada I know enough people that view the US as religious ignorant idiots....Sarah Palin and the Tea baggers , the religious fever over Health Care and of course types like Rush Limbaugh aren't exactly helping your image either

As for the hindu girl, I would say kinda a common form for many of the hindu's I have met and know, chilled, laid back for the most part, doesn't get riled up regarding religious beliefs....sure there are sects in the hindu faith that would have probably gotten really riled up, but over all the majority that I have met, don't get riled up easily over religion. I guess it's different here in Canada were we have a small population and we are fairly well mixed in most major cities, even in the west.

I guess it's different here in Canada were we have a small population and we are fairly well mixed in most major cities, even in the west.

LC, if this is the best you've got; if *all* you have to bitch, moan, and groan about is "perception problems" and a few convenient, *HIGHLY* inaccurate generalizations about the kind of society found within our national borders, well...

you ain't got much, dude.

So we Americans do not prioritize our PR image with the rest of the world all that highly. What material difference does it make in the long run?

Nada. Not a damn thing, ese!

Btw...

deal with the devil, what can I say, she should be locked up for life, that's the canadian justice system for ya, shit that's been complained to death and then some, fuck it's still being complained about to this day.  I am not bitching or complaining, really just putting it out there, that this is how many people outside of the US get viewed, and it's pretty damn sad that the US is viewed that way, I have many american friends that I know are not like that at all, well educated and although christian, won't give up friendship just because people have  different religious views. The other view are just warmongers but then again various other countries have both these types of image problems.

Also, no this is not the BEST I got, but the video got me thinking about how various people around the world view the US, through that type of stereotype.

Ok, good! This is what some authority figures call a "step in the right direction".

And yeah, there are a LOT of Americans bidding for the next stint of 'Bozo the Fascist Clown'. But, then... that's actually true of a LOT of other Countries around the globe; none the LEAST of which is Germany, with all the white supremacists marching straight through its capitol city of Berlin.

Why do you suppose we're getting all this undue attention, LC?

Because you guys live right below me and as such what affects americans tends to affect canadians indirectly usually, such as in business/economic effects. With that said, Germany is no longer a superpower that it once was, and doesn't hold the world in fear or in awe of it's mighty army and nuclear power, the US however can, as such undue attention is usually brought upon the US due to that fact, and it would be nice if there was a way (usually through education) to eliminate that ignorant stigma that americans get, again I speak not for myself, but more on the grounds of just feeling bad for my american friends that sometimes get the brunt of the jokes when they go visit other countries.

The same thing has happened to Russia, China and England. However the same goes with Iran, saudi arabia and various other countries that can and due influence the world and the economic well being of the world.

I know germany has had it's past and currently dealing with Neo-Nazis, the same is happening in Russia, and they are looked upon as such by the world, many view Russians and germans as racists pricks, especially the russians. Germans I know of 2, great folks....not to fond of their food, but of their beer hell ya Laughing out loud

It was actually a loaded question, BUT surprisingly(!), the counterpoint I had in mind for what I originally supposed would have been a 'predictable' response on your behalf...

agrees with your previous post word-for-word.

And yes, people around the world are justified in their anxiety of 'The Belligerent Child-Nation' that my homeland has become. Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and Sarah Palimilf are NOT the sort of people you want in charge of Washington D.C.'s high-tech toys and/or weapons.

Wow, I watched both videos

Wow, I watched both videos in their entirety, and they were both excruciating!  The incredible ignorance on display makes me sick.  Even the Hindu girl wasn't completely innocent ("Do you believe in god?" "Of course!" ).  I've never heard someone confuse Indians with Africans before like that.  Besides skin color, they look nothing alike.  I sincerely hope that the 2nd video occurred at a private school; it better not have been a public school.  Both videos are good for showing just how evil religion is and how stupid, ignorant, and foolish it makes some people.

The second was at midwestern state university. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midwestern_State_University

Oh my, it was at a public university.  So, what she did was totally wrong and not allowed or at least it should not be allowed, not even in the bible belt.  That's really offensive.

Is that like......an African

Is that like......an African country in Asia!?!?

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, | As I foretold you, were all spirits, and | Are melted into air, into thin air; | And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, | The cloud-capped towers, the gorgeous palaces, | The solemn temples, the great globe itself, - Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve, | And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, | Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff | As dreams are made on, and our little life | Is rounded with a sleep. - Shakespeare

In Hinduism Jesus is one of

In Hinduism Jesus is one of lesser gods about since 1700's. This is, because in Hindu tradition the supernatural bar is put much higher. Ressurection after decades (not after wimpy 3 days) is common for yogis who can enter deep samadhi state. Walking on water, materialization of booze, teleportation/bilocation, and so on, that is a standard, Jesus had just barely met the requirements. And yes, he is a bit similar to Krishna.
I'd like to see how could Jesus outrank some traditional chinese or japanese supernatural beings, who throw around supernatural forces like Pokemons. The more to the east from Europe, the more people got used to craziness.

Like like you know, like

Like like you know, like  like, you know, like like, you know.

One fucking thing I hate about some Americans, is that they are to lazy to learn someone's name.

I had a Middle Eastern co worker on a prior job. When I first met him I asked him what his name was, he said, "Frank"

I looked at him and said, "Bullshit, that is not your name, why do you let people call you Frank?" He said that people couldn't pronounce his name. I said fuck them, that is their problem not yours. After that day everyone started calling him by his real name.

As far as this video though, damn I really want to believe it is fake. Even the Hindu was "Like Vishnu is like totally rad and stuff. Like gag me with Jesus".

I almost want to listen to a banjo to boost my IQ. I think humanity has just discovered a non invasive lobotomy.

oh, and as for the OP, the video is obviously satirical.  if you check out this girl's channel (YouLoveMolly) on youtube, you'll find she has several videos in the same vein, and saraa sticks around regardless of how many times they haphazardly try to convert her.  the blonde friend is always in shades, which i think must be some sort of schtick.  plus they have several comments complimenting them on their satire.  molly herself, however, remains oddly silent on the issue.

sorry, folks, but my verdict is we have three very talented young ladies here.  also, i have to say, saraa is a babe.
