100 pushups/200 situps/200squats

http://www.hundredpushups.com/index.html

Since pretty much everything on this site is all mental mumbo jumbo I have decided its time for some physical.

Like a lot of people im not quiet as in shape as i would like to be and being the cheap person I am I refuse to go to gym, Its the biggest rip off off the 21st century, at least in church paying is optional and you get to hear some funny stuff, gym on the other hand you pay to lift heavy things and I for one refuse. So I present My solution, I shall be trying all three at the same time. Firstly to see if it works, secondly to because hell i want to get into some better shape and it cannot hurt! Im unconvinced by the whole under 30 minutes per week for 6 weeks but it appeals to me which  is always good so I shall not be put off. Besides everyone loves a hot body

Since this is a forum and I gotta ask something, why not take the initial test and post your results if you could be bothered and if you like what you read join me on my way to a failed experiment! If not just laugh at my initial test results!

Push ups-  10 <--- im embarressed, never had any strength

Situps- 47

squats - 35

Overall a humbling exercise. But the goal is 100 pushups, 200 situps and 200 squats all in 6 weeks. Most likely il forget in a week but oh well.

Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend.

Best of luck!!I tried the

Best of luck!!
I tried the press up challenge about a year ago, just about managed to reach 40.
The program got a bit hard after that.

You know, I think it's time to give it another go:

Push ups-  25

Situps- 94 (although I'm not 100% sure I'm doing it correctly)

squats - 51

When are you starting day 1?
Will you be doing all 3 on the same day or will you be alternating?
(I think I'll be doing press ups on one day and then squats + sit ups on the second day)

Yea, I did that and make it

Yea, I did that and make it about half way and just hit a fricking wall.  I was able to do around 40 pushups if I nearly killed myself, but I was not able to move past that easily.

I think that 100 push-ups in that amount of time is not realistic unless you are thin already and in reasonable shape...I'm not a skinny guy, and I think the first part is doable because you are just training your muscles.  Once you hit the point where you simply need more beef in your arms and chest, the plan does not give you enough time for muscle growth, and it is frustrating to get stuck on the same week over and over.

240 pound guy going from 10 push-ups to 40 push-ups in three weeks= possible

240 pound guy going from 40 push-ups to 100 push-ups in three weeks= impossible

Everything makes more sense now that I've stopped believing.

Hmmm... the same as my experience.

It'll be interesting if the same thing happens this time too.

That was all at once, back straight, and those push up were not shallow? That's either an exaggeration, you are doing push ups wrong or you are extremely fit.

Day one will be friday for push ups and squats, saturday for situps.. I think all depends really. I think squats and situps I may start on week 3 or maybe il start on week one just to keep things at the same pace. But It recommends a days beak between the initial test and the begining so tomorrow I start.

I am in reasonable shape. I am skinny but I do have a gut that is trying to expand and iv been losing resently admitedly very slowly. Part of the reason im taking this actually. I have no arm strength so i fear I may get stuck just as you did atleast with the push ups, im more confirdant about the sit ups and squats. I don't put on muscle quickly so the push ups will be tough. That is why iv decided to start all on week one instead of jumping to week 3 like it says i can just to give my body more time.

That said Day one complete! No Problem
