During the last couple of days, a space object passed the earth ever so close up, at 6 kilometers a second.
There is some debate whether it was man-made "space junk" or an asteroid, but it was estimated to be 10-15 meters across.
There's a lot of shit hurtling around out there. Sooner or later something will hit the earth.
Remember to always wear a tin foil hat in case of sudden impact!
