How Should We Call Them?

It would be nice to have a name, monicker, appellation, designation for those who make others believe for their own profit or advantage. I know I know, priests, pastors, shamans, frauds, thiefs, impostors, etc...

I'm talking about a more generic, punchy, memorable name.

Any ideas?

Michel

Names And A List

Nordman:

- EVANGELIARS is great!

Flock Fleecers I like, makes me think of:

- FLOCKERS

Since I started that thread and people seem to have interesting ideas, I'll compile a list.  It would be nice if someone could make that list posting "sticky" whithin the thread, don't know if it is possible.

From Italian, Maltese, Portuguese, Spanish

 - THE PREDATORI

 - THE PREDATUR

Not a brilliant coinage but it sounds funny (at least to a French ear):

 - THE RAPINANTES

Of course, closer to home:

 - DEPREDADORES

Beliefant

I changed the spelling to BELIEFANT,  I don't know why I put the PH in there, it must be a French thing....

Elephant & Kerdopseudologist

Yes, I know.

It's just that the component BELIEF of the nickname did not come out unless you pronounced it out loud...

My son, who studies linguistic, suggested:

Kerdopseudologist ? (kerdaino - to make profit, pseudomai - to lie)

How obscure can you get ?!

Either way works. The idea

Either way works. The idea came from Master of Puppets, by Metallica. Awesome song. Shame to apply it to a bunch of assholes. But it is just too fitting.

It should sound ominous. What they are doing is sinister and should be considered a crime against humanity.

That said, I'm going to go with Propheteer, though I think both are perfect descriptions.

After eating an entire bull, a mountain lion felt so good he started roaring. He kept it up until a hunter came along and shot him.

The moral: When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut.
