What you have yet to understand is you are now really a liberal. Back in the late 50s and early 60s a republican was one that believed in individual rights and liberties. Abortion, homosexuality, religion, and other issues were an individual's business and not the government. Such was Barry Goldwater who today would be a Democrat.  The Republican party reshaped itself and made big government into subverting individual rights and liberties. Conservatives claim they are in favor of less government but that only refers to taxes and wealth redistribution. They are completely behind large government agencies to force the government's will upon individuals and restrict their rights to the pursuit of happiness. How else do you explain all of the victimless crime laws and government interference of an individual's free choice? 

When you and others realize that support for the Republican party is detrimental to your own individual rights you will run away. This doesn't mean you will suddenly embrace socialism but that you recognize some things are more important than riches. With out freedom where will you be? I'll tell you, dominated by religious puppets that dictate your morals.

Your point is valid but only to a limited extent. Political ideology changes over time and the same thing has happened for the liberals as well. What was viewed as liberal a hundred years ago is not what you would consider today.

If you view the current political situation as fixed, then you have to admit that democrats started the civil war and republicans sponsored all of the major civil rights legislation in the 60's. Obviously both of those are grossly unfair because they don't take into account the real issues that were important at the time.

So what do I mean when I say that I am a conservative republican? Well, I am aligned with the thoughts of Abraham Lincoln and Ted Nugent. I distance myself from Chuck Norris and Rush Limbaugh.

Anne Colter has some interesting thoughts but I have a few problems with her. First off, she is kind of hot (if you can get past the adam's apple). Second, she will not fuck anyone unless there is a chance of her getting preggers. If you try to use a rubber with her, she will not fuck at all. On that ground alone she is a stupid bitch.
