I didn't see an edit button, so I didn't add this to my original post, but here goes.
I'm 16, live in Washington State (the one near California, not the one on the East Coast). I'm currently a junior at the local high school. I play club soccer (goalkeeper!), and I also enjoy PC games a ton, not so much console games because the analog sticks are clumsy.
How did I become an Atheist? I really owe that to my parents. They took me to church for years, but they didn't really force to believe, so much as they simply exposed me to belief itself. Around age 11 or so, they said "Your religion is your choice, and you no longer have to go to church if you don't believe." My mom, while a believer in god, is not a Christian (she's more of a "God is truly good" kind of person) and my dad is much more agnostic. Its probably around 13 that I actually stopped going to church.
Up until recently, I was largely a "closet Atheist," then I met Nick and Silas, my two current best friends. Both Atheist. I'm done being I'm done being a "Dormant Atheist." I recently started a blog that we all three share two say our part across the internet.
