When I saw the title I thought it was going to be about another fucktard religious family that refuses medical treatment. It actually was a rational decision - thinking about the quality of a person's life rather than just preserving life at any means.

Agreed, intelligent people

Agreed, intelligent people did their best to come up with a rational answer to an extremely difficult problem (rationality doesnt always bring the same answer to everyone, its the process itself that sometimes can be just as important as the result).

As far as I can tell all those involved were given a chance to speak and be listened to, no sky fairies and stone age myths were invoked
