First deconversion on record directly related to RRS
Offline All of the Rational Response Squad members have helped people on an individual level, abandon their faith. Up til today however we have had nobody that has deconverted as a direct result of the efforts of the Rational Response Squad as a group (not that told us, at least). Keep in mind that we think that for every person who speaks up and tells us they've abandoned their faith because of our arguments, there are likely 20 more that aren't going to speak up. I've been a believer(Christian) for a long time and boy, do I feel stupid!!!! I just recently have been shown the truth lol. I hate that it took me so damn long! Just wanted to say thanks for the page. Do you mean that it was us that gave you reason to change your beliefs or someone else? You and truechristians.com hehe. Ya'll know a lot of educated people that know the truth. I mean, it makes a lot of sense what you've been saying on your page. And Darwin was right dude. Awesome. Get her to join the forum!
She'll probably join the forums (including FreethinkingTeens). We spoke for about an hour last night. I recorded it. however I don't want to air it. This was somewhat personal to me and her, it really hit home on the importance of what we're doing. The confusion one faces after abandoning religious belief can be daunting and she was going through somne of that, along with trying to get her mother and little sister to see the flaws in religion at the same time. She has just dropped belief and has yet to solidify her new grasp of reality as she knows it, she was a Christian, LAST WEEK. I forsee an opportunity to get her story out to everyone in the future, I just want her to have time. I promised her I'd have her back and will be there for her whenever she needs a friend. We'll be communicating as often as she needs me.
