I have an idea for a forum... or maybe just an idea for a huge ongoing thread... perhaps this will becomr that huge ongoing thread. 

This idea surfaced during a PM conversation with Kevin.  We were talking about starting a secular organization and I was thinking about how many times I have had this same conversation with various people as well as how many of them went on to start awesome, successful groups.  I've also noticed a few people coming here to ask questions in the existing forums about starting a new group.

So I went to start a discussion on forming new groups and keeping smaller groups running and realized there wasn't a clear place to put it.  Perhaps it would fall under activism - or maybe the affiliate thread (which I chose) but not everyone is an affiliate or wants an activist-oriented group.

Is anyone else here interested in sharing ideas or discuss what has and hasn't worked with their local group.  I think it would be a good resource.  I set up one of these locally but it is much more oriented to discussion of local venues, etc.  Thoughts?

 Hey everyone!! I can't find a single post about it, but I am curious. Where can I get a Rational Response Squad Badge?? You know, like the one on the front page. You know guys, I'm sure there are many who would purchase them. Could go a long way toward paying for the new server!

I started an affiliate of the RRS last Fall at GMU.  We have an exciting semester planned - including a guest speaker and movie showing.  I'm also working on organizing a trip to Capital Hill with another local group.  We'll be participating in a school-wide tabling session as well! 

Unfortunately two of our officers are not returning to Mason in the Spring.  We need to fill these positions ASAP or we will loose our University recognition... which means we won't be able to book rooms for these events or get funding next fall.

The open positions are Secretary and SA liaison.  The VP and Treasurer positions are filled but these individuals are willing to take another position if necessary.  Since 95% of the semester has been planned out already there is very minimal work involved.  You need to have a 2.0 cummulative GPA.

Hi folks, I registered an account here ages ago, made a couple posts, and then got distracted and disappeared.  However, I've since become an official co-conspirator over at the WOTM Watchdog blog (where I'm known as "BoxerShorts," so I figured I should become more active in this community. 

Anyway, is anyone interested in starting a Minneapolis/Twin Cities RRS chapter?  Mostly, I'm just looking for people to make some anti-WOTM videos with.  I already have a camera, I just need someone to hold it and point it at me (or vice versa).  But as long as we'd be getting together anyway, we might as well start a chapter.

I am wondering how many fellow RRS members are from Illinois as i am very interested in being a very active member or even a Chapter head if necessary if Brian, Kelly, and rook see me fit to represent the squad. Any feed back would be appreciated and informing any fellow Illinois members to get a hold of me via the RRS site or aaronzzz1980@hotmail.com would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
