Hey all, hope this is the right place for this (if it's not I won't accuse you of deleting it!) but I wanted to suggest that the RRS take on psychic/paranormal claims in some future episode. I was watching the "sci"-fi channel (which is 99.999% fi and perhaps 00.001% "sci" as a general rule) and there were all these bullshit shows about faith healers, alien visitors, and hauntings. I've talked to a number of generally very sane, level-headed people who have claimed to have experienced paranormal phenomena: one woman said she'd lived in a "haunted" house back east; a man I once worked with said he'd seen an apparition, etc.

I thought of this while listening to one of the earlier shows when you were arguing with a creationist and cosmology/astronomy came up and you mentioned that none of you guys are really specialists in astronomy. He's got quite the following of scientific, freethinker type people that could substantially increase your membership. He's pretty openly atheistic and is fairly brutal in some of his blog entries about creationism and any other anti-science sentiments.

his latest myspace blog details his "dark secret" that he had premarital sex with a girl (oh my gawsh), and they used birth control, so he felt bad about killing his sperm which god intended to be used for procreation.
he goes on to detail a dream he later had that he successfully impregnated his little hi-skool lover, and that he begat a son.
the following blog is just a cut-and-paste right-wing-anti-abortion-propaganda poem about a fetus questioning it's mother about her choice for abortion (boo-hoo), and he claims he just read it and cried over the loss of "his son"....

Guest Idea: Michael Newdow, the guy who sued, for his 9 year old daughter and having to recite the pledge in school, for the constitutionality of the pledge because of "under god". It was voted in favor for him in the appeals court, however, the supreme court shot it down due to the fact that he couldn't sue in favor of his 9 year old daughter because he didn't have custody; his mother did. So now, he's bringin the case back up..and a lower court voted in his favor. However, the house just passed a bill which would bar judges from voting on the constitutionality of the pledge. Ho

I would suggest David Mills, author of "Atheist Universe - Why God Didn't have a Thing to Do With It" as a guest. I've read this book several times, and it is great! I have seen he has already been a guest on the Infidel Guy and Rational Redneck shows.

I was invited on the show to talk about my deconversion from JesusWalks to Savage.....I have been hunted about it and alot of people still doubt my deconversion but hopefully the show will put everyone s doubts to rest and if it doesnt well fuck it, cant say i didnt try.

I will admit, I thought it was going to be a witch hunt, and i was prepared to batten down the hatches and prepare for a war.

Man was I wrong, the show was done very professionally, we had a few technical hiccups but I felt very easy on the show with the guys and all in all it was quite a pleasent feeling to be taken seriously for a change.
