Statist. I don't want to

Statist.

I don't want to talk about it. I changed one answer and got liberal. The funny part is I knew which question to change.

Libertarian: Your PERSONAL

Libertarian:

Generally correct, but on a more detailed quiz I'd probably end up more centrist on economic issues.

How amazingly unlikely is your birth;

I scored 100% libertine

I scored 100% libertine (duh), but the quiz is obviously biased - not that it doesn't cut to the chase and the meat of the matter, it's simply biased and worded in such a way to slant you toward the libertarian position.

If you need an on-line survey to put your political views in order, quite frankly, it frightenens me that you have the same rights I do.

It's really disturbing to me that you felt the need to go so far out of your way to take such a cheap and pointless snipe at positions some of us manage to defend quite well and hold for very rational and defensible reasons. Thanks for the insight into your perverted pscyche.

The ID card thing confused me..... we have provincial ID's in Canada but you don't NEED them by law. It's just impossible to get into a bar without one... Sad

National would mean a

National would mean a Canada-wide ID card for you. Libertarianism seems to be a mostly American movement so libertarian sites like the Advocates for Self Government tend to focus on US issues. We have state-issued ID cards in the US, you can't drive without one and if you don't have gray hair you can't buy alcohol without one either.

You guessed it...

You guessed it... Libertarian

Your PERSONAL issues Score is 90%.
Your ECONOMIC issues Score is 100%

The 90% is because I said maybe to the national ID card.

What's the drawback of it? I understand that if you get rid of the drinking age then you don't need it for that.
But what about for driving? Don't you kinda need it for that?

Well in the US there's a law

Well in the US there's a law that was passed called the Real-ID act that is going to make a national database of people's names, addresses, birthdates, and whatever other information some bureaucrat decides should be on the ID. This could range from any government-issued ID numbers to a DNA sample.

It's mostly privacy concerns, and granting even more power to the bloated Federal government.

Economically.  The kind of economic views that would make Ayn Rand wet.  Social Libertarianism is good, economic...well...not so good.

I got Liberal 100/20%. This

I got Liberal 100/20%.
This test is flawed in that it asks you to make assumptions about the popular perception of things versus the more complex possibilities. For instance, choosing to cut government spending tips the marker further right. But, what if the spending I wanted to cut, since we're in a ground war after all, was the contract on the luxuriant and arguably superfluous F-22 Raptor? Would it still move right, or does it assume I want to cut spending on social programs and tell the "welfare queens" (to quote asshat John Stossel) to get a second or third job?
It offers an evaluation based on false choices.

You are absolutely right as far as the flaws in the test go.

 I got "Liberal".
Your PERSONAL issues Score is 80%.
Your ECONOMIC issues Score is 10%.

I put a "M" on "corporate welfare", since that probably includes government loans for small business, which is a good idea. I only got 80% on Personal because I agreeing with a national ID card. I really see no reason to be against it. It's more beneficial than not, because many provinces and states require you to have ID in their province/state to do various things.
