Offline Have you been graced by the presence of one who claims to love the RRS, drinking, and poetry in a thread of yours? Have you ever looked at the post and wondered... What the fuck is he talking about?!?! Well we have. His posts have been supportive, occasionally odd, almost always fillled... with... ellipses...., sometimes poetic, and often nearly impossible to decipher. Is it poetry? Abstract art on the RRS forums in the form of a post? Is it merely alcohol? Is he crazy? Is he a genius at work? The greatest antitheist poet to ever live? A christian trying to portray an odd caricature of an atheist? Oh we could contemplate these questions all day.... and so... we shall.

I get the yummy twat reference (well, literally but not in actuality - oh forget it) and I get the being stupid for fearing gays. Other than that, I'm stumped.

Hmm, it makes sense to me. He's just saying, "Why do we have all these weird sexual hangups? Language, clothes, body parts, etc."
I think it's cool. It's like listening to one of those homeless street preachers, but instead of just being kooky gibberish, it's gibberish that actually makes some sense. 'God' is (literally) the universe, we are part of the universe, so we are part of God, or more simply, we are God. From that metaphor, you can apply it to any religion and pull out the good stuff while rejecting the bad stuff. Thus, Jesus becomes a good guy, but only when he's quoted as saying good stuff, along with Buddha, Krishna, or whoever. I AM GOD AS YOU has chosen to use this metaphor to try to inject atheistic doubts into the various dogmas theists on RRS might believe. I think he could polish it up a bit, to be more effective, but I still think it's a cool idea.

Well first of all I would just say that IAGAY seems to be a nice enough person.
I think that in itself makes me more tolerant of his somewhat incoherant ramblings.
I have never detected even the slightest hint of the "ass hole factor" that some of our more lucid members have displayed so I basically just leave him alone and let him express himself.
Wow that was good. Had Kelly and I slapping our knees. He'd distribute that sort of knowledge over several posts though. Usually all 3 of us aren't put on a pedestal in the same post.

Hey friends, I'm under the weather with a bad cold right now, not feelin to humorous which is often what I try to write, ... having fun with words.
About me being a theist if that means religious , NO not even a bit.
My good rational dad was a huge Bertrand Russell, Alan Watts, Carl Sagan fan, etc etc. Religion was never even considered or discussed and was lame in my upbringing.
The whole concept of god just meant the Cosmos or Reality of Zero superstition.
It wasn't untill this recent appalling Christian Right shit got going that I got into looking at religion and getting vocal about it.
I've been pretty successful at getting people to realize the stupidity and danger of religion.
My sig, "I am god as you" basically says it all. I counter the Xains by re-interpreting bible story Jesus and saying Jesus was an atheist. Hell, it makes way more sense than their hocus pocus religious crap.
As cool Alan Watts wrote: "The religion of Jesus was that he knew he was a son of God, and the phrase "son of " means "of the nature of," so that a son of God is an individual who realizes that he is, and always has been, one with God. "I and the Father are one."
and, "Let this mind be in you." that is to say, let the same kind of [ rational ]consciousness be in you that was in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ knew he was God.
"Wake up" and find out eventually who you also really are [ god ]. In our culture of course, they'll say you're crazy or you're blasphemous, and they'll either put you in jail or in the nut house (which is the same thing). But if you wake up in India and tell your friends and relations, "My goodness, I've just discovered that I'm God," they'll laugh and say, "Oh, congratulations, at last you found out."
It's just another xlint angle at debunking the silly sad religious loons.
About the word "GOD", as alot of words, on a universal world wide level has varied definitions. Saying I don't believe in god to a world wide audience is confusing. It's better to be specific and say "I don't believe in god of abe".
"Atheist" is another obviouly misunderstood word, so I've suggested always connecting it to adjectives etc.
"Atheists for God", is not an oxymoron if you grew up in India. It would simply mean atheists for 'truth' or 'reality'.
"You make my Sea Doo smile" ? , is like a biker saying, "that pretty girls tush makes my Harley smile". Ever see a pretty girl riding a bicycle and wish you were the seat !
