For those that don't know, I found my way to atheism at www.atheistnetwork.com about 8 years ago. I credit Jake (the owner of the site) specifically with the majority of my deconversion from a deist sort of view of the world to a completely atheistic one. Jake goes by the name "Jake [R.R.S. Sage]" in our stickam chatroom. Now today with the support of Jake the entire way, our site and activist group has received tons of publicity for www.BlasphemyChallenge.com, and now on May 5th we'll (Kelly and I) be on ABC's website for 90 minutes addressing Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron with Martin Bashir as a moderator. We've come a long way since back in the day when we first met Jake, and owe so much of our success and our philosophy to his help. He's the man behind the scenes... until now.

Recently we've been lucky enough to receive help from an investor who has helped us acquire a large home for Rook Hawkins, Kelly, and myself so that we can live together and work together making us much more productive. In this home we have room for guests to sleep over and would like Jake to be one of our first guests. We just need to cover his airfare, Jakes finances are rather tight, in that regard, ours are as well. I personally would be willing to cover the entire thing, but I know how many of you like to help, and I've created a link to help chip in a little at a time.
