I agree, also if "I am spiritual with NO RELIGION" was togethar with atheist/agnostic we would have a more accurate ammount.

I just voted.

Right now it's at 12% atheist, 5% agnostic and 13% spiritual but not religious.

Surprisingly, xianity is only at 58%.

One think I would like to point out:

Points for that, as much for admitting it but for also mentioning it right there under the poll.

It would be "easy" to put the +4% agnostic onto atheist, for the reason that if they were agnostic theist, they had all the other options including "spiritual" and "not listed", but to be strict about it, I would not lump em togeather.

Not only is is scientific, it's not even working properly, it would of been nice if it did turn out as the #2 position it was shaping up to be, it might of been mentioned, but now that's out the window.

75% for atheism when I voted.  Ivoted agnostic, which is at 2%.

It was a bunch of people from 4chan who were running scripts to make the numbers go higher. From the look of it they were trying to get it to either somewhere in 70% or over 9000 (which is an injoke).

They made their goal, but got caught up in a still-ongoing religious debate, and some of them decided they should've gone for "Mine's not listed" instead of "Atheism".

It's ridiculous and almost funny at the same time.

We'd like to get to know you a little better.  When you get a chance, we'd love it if you'd hop over to the General Conversation, Introductions and Humor forum and introduce yourself. 

We are going to round up all the theists in one spot, get the army and.... tell them they can still worship freely.

(There would still be alot of theists, so we would need the army to organise the loudspeakers and refreshments.... )

It was raided by 4chan Ebaums. From what I gathered from Dematrah's post, and my own visit to that message board, they were/are running scripts to get the number of atheists over 9000. They've succeeded, but haven't stopped voting.

Even if the numbers were legit it would only prove that the atheists have a more active internet community. I thought it was possible, since at least the atheists don't try and remove spirits from their monitors when they get a virus. It stands to reason we might have a higher percentage of computer literate folks.

I jest obviously, it will be a LONG time before atheists will have equal numbers to theists.
