I can't really see having "Excessive, irrational zeal." (from dictionary.com) about a lack of belief in God.
There are lots of "web atheists" who couldn't care less about religous topics. They don't post on religous forums, though, the ones who are interested in religous topics do.
That's why all the atheists you meet on boards for religious topics are interested in religion.

Not all believers in god are insane. The vast majority are not insane.
Insanity is in the eye of the beholder. Fanatics are often extremely sane, particularly the ones willing to commit suicide. They are making very rational and logical decisions based on their belief.

My point is antithetical to your point.
Your language is argumentative. The "urge to identify themselves" comes from the fact that they want other people to know their point of view in the same way that you might want someone to know where you're from. It conveys information that could be useful in a conversation.
As far as "mockering about religion and believers," I'm not sure exactly what you're implying. However, it appears that in general you have difficulty understanding why an atheist might discuss religion. Aside from the obvious reason (i.e. a lot of religions spend time constructing arguments against atheism), there is no reason that an atheist can not take an interest in religion, any more than an atheist might take an interest in any other topic, like English, or art history.
No. Presumably "atheism aka fanaticism" would require some sort of fanaticism. While some atheists are no doubt fanatical, posting on web forums and enaging in discussions, absent some other extraordinary circumstances, are not considered fanatical actions, as far as I'm aware.

The purpose of this website and others like it is to discuss religious topics amongst other things. It is one of many topics aimed at being covered on this site. That is why I discuss religion on here. It does not make me a fanatic.
I also visit computer tech forums. Does that make me a computer tech fanatic?
I play world of warcraft and post on warcraft sites, does that make me a warcraft fanatic?
I visit and post on motorbike sites, does taht make me a motorbike fanatic?
I visit generally silly sites and post on their forums, does that make me a generally silly fanatic?
All these things are just areas I'm interested in. I like to discuss them. I like to get insights from those in the know on certain topics so I visit related sites as I'm more likely to find those who are rather than just a bunch of people with as much knowledge as I speculating. Any further attempts to speculate and strawman are just ultimate failure on your part.
