Ready Player One

This movie will not win any Oscars or be critically acclaimed. It had moments of kid movie logic, cheesiness, and was full of cliches. But the movie was great fun, and has to be the single biggest collection of homages in a single movie ever. The Shining, Back to the Future, TMNT, Halo, Star Wars, Gundam, Star Trek, Godzilla, Jurassic Park, Minecraft; and a thousand other movies, shows, and games all had cameos. No single person could possibly identify every mention within the film there was so many. And they weren't the slightest bit out of place given the context.

This movie is worth watching.

When it is out for home consumption, some group of people will sit down and analyze the movie the same way they did Ground Hog Day or Monty Python's The Holy Grail. Some one will sit there and watch every scene over and over again until every reference is recorded in to a database.
