Chimps are warlike

Nature of war: Chimps inherently violent; Study disproves theory that 'chimpanzee wars' are sparked by human influence

Date:
September 17, 2014

Source:
Lincoln Park Zoo

Summary:
Of all of the world's species, humans and chimpanzees are some of the only species to coordinate attacks on their own members. Since Jane Goodall introduced lethal inter-community killings, primatologists have debated the concept of warfare in this genus. New research from an international coalition of ape researchers has shed new light on the subject, suggesting that human encroachment and interference is not, as previous researchers have claimed, an influential predictor of chimp-on-chimp aggression.

Excerpt:
The study began as a response to a growing number of commentators claiming that chimpanzee violence was caused by human impacts. "This is an important question to get right. If we are using chimpanzees as a model for understanding human violence, we need to know what really causes chimpanzees to be violent," said University of Minnesota researcher Michael L. Wilson, lead author on the study.

they just need to learn that

they just need to learn that EVOLUTION is behind their warlike behavior and causes their tribalism. they need to accept that they're not a separate species! until then, chimps are poison, PERIOD. and to my millions of detractors, no MORONS, i don't want to ban chimps by force, that would be a utopia, though some people stupidly think that's what i mean by poison. even if you say you don't think that, i know you really DO!

(shit, i spelled everything right.)

"I have never felt comfortable around people who talk about their feelings for Jesus, or any other deity for that matter, because they are usually none too bright. . . . Or maybe 'stupid' is a better way of saying it; but I have never seen much point in getting heavy with either stupid people or Jesus freaks, just as long as they don't bother me. In a world as weird and cruel as this one we have made for ourselves, I figure anybody who can find peace and personal happiness without ripping off somebody else deserves to be left alone. They will not inherit the earth, but then neither will I. . . . And I have learned to live, as it were, with the idea that I will never find peace and happiness, either. But as long as I know there's a pretty good chance I can get my hands on either one of them every once in a while, I do the best I can between high spots."

Perhaps they should look more closely at the behavior of lions if they believe ( quite stupidly ) that chimps are the only non-human species to engage in this type of lethal "problem solving".

Shouldn't poison be all caps? Just curious.

In Costa Rica it is amazing to watch ants. They function very efficiently as a group and really get the shit done, that needs to be done.

In Texas, the Brazillian fire ants number in the billions.  They have already wreaked havoc upon some native species.
