Short Relationship survey

For my psych class please answer this short survey about pornography and relationships. Also, take note, your answers may be written in a short essay to be submitted to the prof. Only I, and the prof will see the results. It is for an assignment over the Christmas break to conduct a simple survey on a topic relating to sexuality and analyze the results.

What exactly is the subject matter in this particular essay ? IOW, what is your thesis statement and is the purpose of this essay, a comparative/contrast, persuasive, or expository essay ? Just curious.

If I need to do a survey, will this bunch fill it out? Are you also surveying other groups?

I don't actually mind doing them.
The university in my local area was doing one about people who were for gay marriage.
I met both requirements, so I took it.
The 2 requirements were :
The person taking the survey could not be gay.
The person taking the survey could not have a gay family member.

relation between porn and relationships.
I posted this here and on facebook, and only got around 9 responses. I posted it elsewhere, and got 50 more.
It was a pretty short and painless survey. I do have to say that the last question had me scratching my head for a few moments as the relationship between porn and my relationship depends on which relationship you are talking about. Although the survey had far more to do with masturbation than it did with relationships, good thing I am not shy about that kind of thing.
Do you think Cpt that your surveys results might be biased because of people who are willing to answer the questions and those who are not? Even though the survey is completely anonymous (I think we can all be fairly certain you are not going through the effort of tracking IP addresses simply to discover our masturbation habits), I can imagine that people on the prudish side of the issue might not be comfortable answering the questions no matter how confident they are of anonymity. I know it isn't exactly a scientific approach, but I can see how that might be an obvious flaw that your professor may or may not care about.

Well, the questions are pretty basic and easy to answer. But, I am not sure how these questions can make a determination about successful / unsuccessful relationships in correlation with porn, if that is what the subject matter will be, or if the subject matter is to determine how many couples engage in these activities.
I was curious why it did not ask specifics about how long you were with your current partner, or how many relationships prior to the current one (if someone is in one of course). But, I leave that up to Cpt and the Prof to determine. I'll take it. No big deal. Wouldn't mind reading the essay after your through with it though.

Off the topic here, but after I took the survey, the site directed me to the home page of "Survey Monkey" is that whole thing about, take so many surveys, win 100 dollars legit ? I'll take all the surveys that anyone wants about any subject if there is a chance at some money involved

Survey monkey only allows 10 questions per survey for free accounts which kinda limits it.
This is a simple take home assignment, not a doctoral thesis. Part of which is to identify potiental shortcomings.
I see. Well good luck on the assignment.
Still wouldn't mind reading it.
I'd be kinda curious to see what conclusions are drawn from that line of questioning.
I never did find out what the results were, for that other one I took, at the local university, about gays, nor did I ever find out what it was about. They just wanted to interview straight people who did not have a problem with gays.
Potential shortcomings ? Hmm. What do you mean ? Like, how porn could potentially affect a relationship ? Or if heavy porn use is more prominent among single people than say actually married couples ?
No real reason for my questions. Just being nosy.
