I just saw this story about one of the victims in that she was shot in the head, but because of a prior fluid condition she didn't know about, diverted the bullet through all vital parts of her brain.

FIRST OFF, GOOD FOR HER and there isn't any sane human that would hope for anything less.

BUT PLEASE FUCKING STOP USING THE WORD "MIRACLE".

If God took the time to allow or create that fluid in her brain to divert the bullet, why not prevent the entire horrible event in the first place? She wasn't the only person affected, and there were 12 people the word "miracle" demeans as if God didn't care to save them vs her.

Now I still have yet to hear one good argument when people claim god got involved, any moral or credible explanation as to why our species has ALWAYS had degrees of suffering.

The harsh reality is that humans do horrible things to each other. Be it gang murder, or war, genocide, and mass shootings like this. And with airline crashes where some die and some survive, the reality is multiple conditions and factors that lead to BOTH good outcomes and bad outcomes.

This woman got lucky as did all the other survivors and I am happy for them. But there was no miracle in it and to me using that word demeans the dead who did not make it.

There is no magic to life, be it the good that we want to happen to us, nor the bad that happens to us. No sane person wants to die, ESPECIALLY like this, and no one likes to lose a loved one. But there was no magical boogiman arranging the neurons in the killer's head and that woman survived by luck, and the skill of the doctors who saved her.
