Irrationalities

"The process of inspiration is a mystery of the providence of God, but the result of this process is a verbal, plenary, inerrant, and authoritative record."  Norman Geisler and William Nix

- More than half of the human population still belief in myths and legends with no grounds in reality that divide us and excuse us into irrational wars. Virtual all of these sources are of unknown origin or likely from political power seeking legitimacy of their abuses. They were able to manipulate us using our deep attraction for a higher purpose and higher ethics.

"We will see automation replacing higher and higher level jobs. We have tools right now (symbolic math programs, cad/cam) that release us from most low-level
drudgery. Or put another way: The work that is truly productive is the domain of a steadily smaller and more elite fraction of humanity. In the coming of the Singularity, we are seeing the predictions of _true_ technological unemployment finally come true." - Vernor Vinge

- In the verge of a truly remarkable feat which is the release of men from his ancestral struggle for survival we still cling to pre historical dogmas. We seem to be unable to live without an imprisoning daily work in the name of an outdated model called capitalism, who's sole purpose is to make the rich even more rich.

Makes me recall Oscar wilde quote: "Work is the refuge of people who have nothing better to do”

We seem to be unable to find alternatives when both progress and growing inequalities demand it. We live in a jungle with darwinistic survival ecology when we have the power and the wisdom of making the world a shinning light of happiness and well being for all. We live in a transitional period marked by growing unemployment and inequalities, future generations well being will be broadly influenced by the choices we make today.

Like in the past some elites are "educating" us to the value of work and the myth of it's necessary enslavement.

"Much of our activity these days is nothing more than a cheap anesthetic to deaden the pain of an empty life." -- Unknown

The growing secularism and atheism is making the world a meaningless place. Life an insignificant bleep in existence. There can be no worse depressive state than the meaningless world of western men. In all studies about life happiness, western world scores worse. We need a convincing model about the spiritual purpose of men in the Universe so that our smile and love can shine through.

"We see only what we know." Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Material chauvinism and dogmatism about current accepted theories is killing human real innovation. People who's views are extreme don't get their studies financed and risk their reputation. With this conduct we are delaying vital and potentially life changing research. History shows that currently accepted theories were in the past eccentric, still we refuse to learn from history.

"We will have the power to animate the inanimate, the power to create life itself," Michiu Kaku

The 20th century was remarkable in scientific progress, arguably it slowed down on the 2nd half and continued to do so during the 12 years of the 21st century. On the other hand technology boomed on the second half of the 20th century and continues in this one.  We may be reaching the limits of scientific discovery. Some problems seem unsurmountable even when pouring millions into them.  Technology is merely the application of science by engineers. If we have reach "peak science" we are going to reach "peak technology" inevitably, it may, however, take thousands of years.

For we are forever bound to the matrix of our own existence - the physical laws. The dream of Godhood is just a myth.

"if instead of looking into the future, we look into the past, we find that the economic problem, the struggle for subsistence, always has been hitherto the most pressing problem of the human race. . . . If the economic problem is solved, mankind will be deprived of its traditional purpose." John Maynard Keynes

Human progress has made wonders, but economic system still believes that the purpose of human existence is the fight for survival like in pre historical times. Competition is it's God. Art and Curiosity are just non useful activities - the pass time of the rich. Sweating work imprisonment is seen as the ultimate life fulfilling purpose.
