This website is going to be upgraded very soon.

This website is going to be upgraded very soon.  Functionality will change drastically.  The only requirements we have put on ourselves is to make sure we keep all of the content and keep all your accounts.  There will be drastic changes in appearance and functionality coming.  I can tell you that the forums will be much friendlier to use.  We might not have a recent posts tracker on the first night.  There might be a few things like that which will be odd to the daily visitors.  I ask that you stick around and explore, and look forward to a much better site.

We hope to have a test version of RRS upgraded by this weekend, and if all goes well we might go live with it some time before Tuesday March 6th.

Don't remove the recent post

Don't remove the recent post tracker all together.  That's how I interact with this forum, through that link Smiling.  I'm exited to see the changes otherwise.

I'm looking forward to the changes, btw, is there going to be a way to stop these "advertisment" posts from coming about? Last week you had like seven of them when I logged in early in the morning. Today I see another one talking about necklaces.

We will definitely have a recent posts tracker but it might take us a few days.  It's one of the top 5 priorities after we upgrade.

Our mods try to delete forum spam as soon as possible.  I delete at least 15 posts of spam per day.  I must have been sleeping.

If you are keeping user friendliness to newcomers and the digitally retarded(myself) in mind, I had a hard time w the selective

quoting process(quoting sections of a post and commenting on them one at a time). And the text wrapping is annoying-having to

manually shorten each line you write and scrolling sideways to read posts. I know this isn't a suggestion  box but I'm sure you

expected it. Love what uv done here.

Initially I do not expect anyone to have any badges.  I thought you should know as that will come as a shock.

We have a lot of new users

We have a lot of new users here.  Please don't fall in love with the look of this site.  Everything is about to change for the better.

The forum functionality will be awesome right off the bat, but everything will look different and there will be lots of missing elements.

If you really want one of the pictures from our image gallery for your personal collection, please grab them now: http://www.rationalresponders.com/image  We are not going to upgrade the means we used to post the images, we'll have a better one at some point.

Well unless the upgrade comes with an ice cream maker, I am not coming back.

Will there be that SPOILER

Will there be that SPOILER feature, which allows to hide big objects in the text behind a button?

What about a button to take the reader on the first unread post of a topic?

You will end up on your own post when done posting, even if it's page 35 of a thread.

You'll be able to go to your last unread post!!!

“A meritocratic society is one in which inequalities of wealth and social position solely reflect the unequal distribution of merit or skills amongst human beings, or are based upon factors beyond human control, for example luck or chance. Such a society is socially just because individuals are judged not by their gender, the colour of their skin or their religion, but according to their talents and willingness to work, or on what Martin Luther King called 'the content of their character'. By extension, social equality is unjust because it treats unequal individuals equally.” "Political Ideologies" by Andrew Heywood (2003)

Brian is a commie, soft serve low fat yogurt is a leftist conspiracy. Either that or it was a joke that went over your head? Cute kitten btw.

 Sadly my volunteer server

Sadly my volunteer server admin got bogged down with paying work and it led into my busy season with my real life job as well.  The upgrade has been heavily delayed, it's possible we wont be live with the new upgraded sites until closer to the fall.  I am able to work heavily through the winter as my job is rather seasonal.

Hopefully it'll be up sooner, and my apologies to those who are heavily anticipating the new site.
