I think Freud said it best, "The first person to hurl an insult instead of a stone, started civilization"
Whats more, is that this guy isn't even talking about offending just to be offensive, but offensive to make a point that the other got it wrong.
I often tell people, your right to make any claim you want is not the issue. What offends me is when you merely assert your right to claim something, which is not the issue, then demand that your claim be treated with kid gloves.
This guy is in line with the way I think.
